WORLD PREMIERE - The renaissance of Italian horror starts here. With writer/director Federico Zampaglione’s stunning genre debut and a genuine FrightFest discovery. One of Italy’s most famous musicians, Zampaglione is the fronts-man of Tiromancino, a hugely successful pop rock band. With SHADOW he embarks on another exciting and talented career, one already acclaimed by Italian icons Dario Argento, Lamberto Bava and Ruggero Deodato. When David (Jake Muxworthy), a young soldier returning from Iraq, goes on a mountain biking adventure in Europe he has no conception of the terrors that lie in store. For a mystifying local legend will force him to face more shattering fears than on any wartime tour of duty. To meet bloodthirsty butcher Mortis who delivers devastating surgical shocks to the system. And to discover that gruesome reality really is sicker than any nightmare.
