SAW PRODUCER’S HOT NEWS
Hot news from the non-event that was the launch of the new SAW theme rollercoaster (the ride was not working) we caught up with the very cool producer of the complete SAW franchise Mark Burg.
He candidly revealed that SAW 6 is about to start shooting and that he is very pleased with the new script which will reveal all the secrets of the box and tie up lots of loose ends. He is also working on 4 RKO Val Lewton remakes including I WALKED WITH A ZOMBIE.
He is also producing Darren Lynn Bousman’s next which is a remake of MOTHER’S DAY.
Finally he exclusively told us that he is shaping up a new 3-D franchise. This time…. TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE. You can almost see that chainsaw looming out from the screen already.
RAIMI DRAGS US TO HELL
The long awaited return to horror by legendary EVIL DEAD director Sam Raimi is almost with us. Gathering ecstatic rough cut reviews in the US DRAG ME TO HELL is scheduled for a UK opening in late May.
The trailer has just surfaced on-line and the forthcoming issue of Fangoria features the film as its cover feature. View trailer here.
POPPING OUT OF YOUR TV SET
Scheduled for UK release on June 8th is the very successful 3-D version of MY BLOODY VALENTINE. The dvd and Blu Ray editions come replete with some 3-D glasses.
