NEW FROM THE LIVING AND THE DEAD DIRECTOR!

Director of the simply stunning FrightFest past favourite THE LIVING AND THE DEAD Simon Rumley is currently hard at work shooting his next eagerly awaited feature film RED, WHITE AND BLUE.

Here’s Simon to tell us a few details..

I'm very excited to announce that I'm currently in production on my latest feature film, Red, White and Blue. I'm currently shooting in Austin, Texas with actors Noah Taylor (Shine/The Proposition etc), Marc Senter (The Lost, Cabin Fever 2 etc) and Amanda Fuller (Women's Murder Club, Buffy etc) . Tim League (Fantastic Fest, Alamo Drafthous) is exec producing and I'm shooting with The Living and The Dead dp Milton Kam on the new and pretty amazing Red Cameras. The film is a fast moving slacker revenge movie.

Sounds good to me!

HERE COME THE PREDATORS

The next entry in the PREDATOR franchise – which has been taken under Robert Rodriguez’ producers reign has now found a director.. Nimrod Antal – he is the helmsman of the forthcoming action film ARMORED and previous thriller VACANCY. Apparently this re-boot is set on the Predator planet...

FANTASIA IS COMING

Our Montreal brothers in Fest land have just announced their sterling line-up for 2009. Over a mind melting 20 days (July 9th-29th) they will be screening a bunch of great genre titles including BLOOD RIVER, BOOK OF BLOOD, DEAD SNOW, DEAD GIRL, DREAD, I SELL THE DEAD, LVK, MUTANTS, SMASH CUT and THIRST amongst many others.
