NEW FROM CARPENTER
It has been announced that John Carpenter is to start shooting his next film project THE WARD in May. This will mark Carpenter’s return to feature films after a long hiatus following 2001’s GHOSTS OF MARS.
THE WARD is described as an intense psychological thriller set in a mental institution where a young woman is haunted by a mysterious and deadly ghost. As danger creeps closer, she comes to realize that this ghost might be darker than she could have imagined.
The film is scheduled to feature Amber Heard the rising star from ALL THE BOYS LOVE MANDY LANE.
Other mooted projects in the Carpenter pipeline are RIOT with Nicolas Cage, LA GOTHIC and THE PRINCE.
NEIL MARSHALL’S CENTURION
Michael Fassbender, Dominic West and Olga Kurylenko are heading the cast in Neil Marshall’s next film CENTURION. This is a thriller set during the Roman invasion of Britain in A.D.117 and tells the story of Quintus Dias, sole survivor of a Pictish raid on a Roman frontier fort, who marches north with General Virilus’ legendary Ninth Legion, under orders to wipe the Picts from the face of the Earth and destroy their leader, Gorlacon.
Neil will start shooting on location in the highlands of Scotland in just a few weeks.
NEW VIDEO WATCHDOG
Still one of my absolute favourite magazines the next issue of VIDEO WATCHDOG features Dario’s MOTHER OF TEARS on the cover.
