GAME OF DEATH is a fast paced action thriller of revenge and double-crossing C.I.A agents.

 Agent Marcus (Wesley Snipes) is double crossed by his own team so that they can steal from Redvale and Frank Smith. Smith is an arms dealer, played by Robert Davi (best known as the 'bad' guy in THE GOONIES) and is closing a deal with big investment broker, Readvale. Marcus is Smith's bodyguard. However, things start to get a little crazy when his CIA team want the 10 million dollar deal for themselves. The team go against orders and decide they will keep Smith alive so that they can steal his money. Smith has a heart attack and is rushed to hospital under Marcus' protection. At the hospital the CIA team are now trying to kill Marcus so that they can get to Smith. Marcus is left reeling after being betrayed and does what he thinks is right and will stop at nothing to get revenge. The story is told by Marcus as he reveals everything to the local priest.

Zoe Bell is good as one of the CIA agents but I felt she was slightly wasted. As a stunt woman (KILL BILL and DEATH PROOF) it would have been good to have seen her do more stunts like the ones in Tarantino's DEATH PROOF. This being said she does get to kick some ass!

Wesley Snipes still manages to pack a punch more believably than Stallone or Seagal. Snipes still has the cool, slick screen presence that he had in films such as DEMOLITION MAN.

This film is an enjoyable watch with plenty of action and gunfire to keep you entertained. Although the film is good overall I think the slicing of slow motion amongst flash backs made the film feel cheesey and slowed the action down. Apart from that the story does keep you gripped to the end.

It is nice to see Snipes back in action in this knuckle punching thriller.
