BLACK MIRROR III - ***
Out Now, DTP Interactive, PC-CD ROM, Future Games, RRP £29.99.
Set seven minutes after the end of Part II, this considered and fun adventure is perfect for fans of games that require brain power rather than the ability to shoot everything in sight. Smoke rises from the ruins of Black Mirror Castle. A dark harbinger, the curse which haunts the Gordon family still has not been averted. Murderous visions plague Adrian Gordon, threatening to tip him into insanity. His fate seems to be sealed. But can he still change his bloody destiny? More than just another point-and-click adventure, this game has a compelling story and decent character development. It has over 60 well-designed locations to explore and intriguing plot turns and puzzles to solve. And as you progress, you unlock loads of extras and bonus material. In addition, the player can change almost every aspect of the game’s presentation, right down to turning reflections off! The only downside is some slightly wooden character animation. Still, BLACK MIRROR III is good and atmospheric fun.
