Re: a history of horror with mark gatiss

I read on the forums at the excellent britishhorrorfilms.co.uk website that Gatiss's First Men in the Moon and a repeat of the Crooked House are being shown as well, there's a Poe documentary too, looks like BBC4 are spoiling us this Halloween!.

Pulse BBC3 Thursday

Just thought I'd give you guys the heads up in case you haven't heard of this...you probably have as it's getting a lot of coverage on the internet. It's a new Horror/drama show about creepy goings on in a hospital, it's another one of those Pilot things that may lead to a series if it's successful ...

Re: films we just saw

I saw the Disapearance of Alice Creed last night (written and directed by the guy who directed the Descent 2 btw) and quite liked it, it has a bit of a twisty turny plot and has quite a sleazy feel to it, it felt like it could have been made in the 70's.

Re: films we just saw

In between doing the family thing (and the chocolate thing!) over Easter I managed to squeeze in plenty of movies, I saw Clash of the Titans, Monster Squad, Doghouse and Outlander, I also had a Ruggero Deodata marathon and watched House on the Edge of the Park, Jungle Holocaust, Cut and Run, Canniba...

Re: films we just saw

Kick-Ass - best of 2010 so far :) Clash of the Titans - After a messy and unfocused first 30 minutes, it settles down into an entertaining romp. A quick word on the 3D: As we know this was filmed in 2D then "upgraded" into 3D, and while the first couple of reels had some decent 3D effects...

Re: creepy images

Are the posters and lobby cards inside or is this publication about info on the posters and lobby cards? Thanks! The posters and lobby cards are all reprinted in the magazine, basically, each film has it's own chapter beginning with a brief bit of text regarding the posters and lobby cards used in ...

creepy images

Just thought I'd give everyone the heads up on a German publication called Creepy Images, it's a fanzine full of reproductions of film posters and lobby cards, the text is all in English and it's full colour throughout (apart from when B&W movies featured), it's available from the publishers eBa...

Re: films we just saw

This weekend I watched the Exorcist, Death Wish 3, Shutter Island, Pet Sematary and the Crazies (original). Shutter Island was a bit of a disappointment for me, I found it slow, boring, way way too long and had a twist I saw coming a mile off, wish I'd gone to see Green Zone instead!.

Re: films we just saw

Had another stay at home weekend, I watched Mean Machine, the Longest Yard, Death Wish 2, Gator, Smokey and the Bandit and Smokey and the Bandit 2. Great to see the Smokey and the Bandit movies again, haven't seen them since the 80's, I only watched them for a nostalgia trip but they're such a blast...

Re: Daily Mail loves Kick-Ass!...

It also makes me laugh that part of the problem the Daily Mail has with Kick Ass seems to be the fact that Jane Goldman is married to Jonathan Ross, I guess it's been a while since they mentioned his "obscene salary" or "Sachsgate" and they couldn't resist the oppurtunity of brin...

Re: films we just saw

Had a stay at home weekend, ehrm, apart from when I went out to see the Crazies...anyway, over the weekend I watched Amelie, Deliverance, The Crazies, White Lightning and Point Blank, liked em all, probably Amelie and Deliverance were my favourites.
