Re: Enhanced

Decent enough action movie. Good fight scenes, with a reasonable amount of thought put into people's equipment and tactics. The lead channelled his inner David Boreanaz quite effectively.

A Ghost Waits

I THINK you'll find that this should be called "A Spectral Agent Waits".

Great stuff.

...why does this movie have a Colorist?

Hall

Long lockdown 'short' beforehand ("Day 14"?) was good. 8/10 But Hall itself spent a long time setting up a couple of the characters and then just... gone. There's only so much pointless crawling down a hallway that I can watch. Why does the girl think her father's pushing a trolley in the basement? ...

Two Heads Creek

Fun comedy about a pair of twins who head off to a little town in Australia to find the mother they never knew... not much wrong with this at all. I mean, the twist is predictable, but that really doesn't matter.

Not entirely sure that their business plan at the end is a winner, though...

Re: Skull: The Mask

Agreed, this was a lot of fun. There were a few bits which smacked of... inexperience, perhaps. But I'm happy to let enthusiasm and inventiveness win that one.

Re: Dark Place

I've just started a separate thread on this subject. As you posted this at 11pm, I assume that the film finished at about 10:50pm (rather than the advertised 11:30pm) for you too? I guess so - but that 'advertised' end-time is just for a generic 2hr slot, not the actual running time. Hmm... the gui...

Re: Dark Place (some technical problems)

Well, there wasn't a post-film segment, so you missed nothing on that end.

Dark Place

An anthology with wildly varying tone, from gritty reality to slapstick. Usually these are a mixed bag but, actually, this was all pretty good. The last one could have used a stronger ending, though.

Playhouse

Looks really good, in terms of sets / lighting / costumes. Plot goes a bit AWOL, though... a bit of this and a bit of that and it didn't really add up to a whole, for me.

Re: The Columnist

Worrying start with lots of trendy social media stuff, but livened up nicely by a few murders. Maybe dragged a bit in the middle... the penultimate murder goes on a bit long, even with the twist.

Triggered

Poor opening, as a bunch of unlikeable idiots yammer away and you start to hope that someone (anyone) will come along and kill them all. Too many idiots to keep track of (though we do have a solution to that). But after a certain amount of running and screaming, we do eventually get to something a b...

Re: I Am Lisa

Likable characters. Plot rolls along nicely, though the relationship with the daughter felt like it was going somewhere and then just... well, stopped. The budget limitations showed themselves in places - the fight scene in particular felt off. All the effects relating to her face worked pretty well...

Re: HOW TO WATCH

Beware, the Arrow advert in front of the shorts is VERY LOUD. But the shorts aren't.
