Re: Where are you sitting?

I don't know how you can sit that close to the screen Chris. You'll get neck ache down there after 5 days! We're halfway up in H49, 50 and 51 and J 50 and 51. Just got to buy the obligatory big bag of Frightfest sweets now to keep my lot happy for another year! Eddie Hi Eddie I know what you mean, ...

You raise a good point. For those of us who have been going to FrightFest for a while (or from the beginning), we are not getting any younger. We should get a stairlift installed in that screen :D

Where are you sitting?

Morning all

Now seems like a good time to kick-off the annual “where are you sitting” threat. After yesterday’s ticketing challenges, what seat or seats did you end up with?

We will be down in A38, 41, 42 and 43.

Re: Best 5 of the festival

1. What Keeps You Alive
2. Upgrade
3. The Man Who Killed Hitler and then Bigfoot
4. The Golem
5. The Cleaning Woman

Honourable mentions to Await Further Instructions, Summer of 84 and Chuck Steel.

No 10/10 movies this year, but I had four 9/10 and an 8.5/10.

Re: Frightfest Thanks

Thirded. My thanks to Ian, Paul, Alan, Greg and the army of helpers for putting on this year’s event and for looking after us. To the last poster’s point - there was indeed repetition of certain themes, but this happens every year. Recurring themes in 2018: Peeing (yes, this was a thing) Lesbians Th...

Re: What happen to the hygiene guy?

I was there (we were a few seats along from him on the front row) and would say it was justified and sadly necessary. The guy absolutely stank, and attempts to address it descreetly had been met with people being told to F off. The only remaining options at that point, given the complaints, was a pu...

If you have a a full festival pass (all 5 days) you are in Arrow. If you have a day pass or single film ticket, you are in Horror.

Re: What Seat did you get? (2018)

Yeah Whiptail, we had a similar situation in the imax screen last year. We were in row B, which we were worried would be too close (and my god is it a big screen to be in front of), but after a while you become accustomed to it and it becomes normal.

We’ve moved even closer, row A, this year.

Re: What Seat did you get? (2018)

Row K, near the middle. The furthest away I've ever sat, apart from a lone foray into the back row once at the Vue when it was practically empty and I fancied a sleep for an hour during something less-than-memorable :D I can relate to that. Hoping to avoid the embarrassment of dozing off in the fro...

Re: First timers

Welcome to all first timers! This might also be an opportunity for someone to clarify the rules (e.g. what can we take / not take into the auditorium etc) for the first timers and also as a reminder for the rest of us, plus it does vary from venue to venue. Any chainsaws taken into the auditorium s...
