Re: what dvds are we buying?
Picked up a copy of 'Botched' in Poundland the other day, never seen it before, is it any good? Since found out that it played at FF in '07 (the only year I've missed since I started going), so a bit more eager to watch it now

Ophs, yes, landline... that's clearly what I meant...! Not only can they be arrested but they can also potentially commit acts of murder...

Re: VIDEO NASTIES DOCUMENTARY / DISCUSSION
Oh, I don't think so either - this is all purely for entertainment purposes now :) Saw another "article" having a go at horror/Nasties the other week: this time it was about the landline who was arrested in the Jo Yeates case. Apparently he 'traumatised' and 'scarred' (yes, they really did...

'Horrific' flat of Bradford killer Stephen Griffiths - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-bradford-west-yorkshire-11985080 "You walked in and on the left-hand side there was just a huge bookcase and it was just full of horror books on like the Moors murderers and Jack the Ripper, the Yorkshi...

Re: Paranormal Activity 2
I haven't seen either film on the basis that I live alone and spend enough time telling any visitors that drop by that I have ghosts/spirits (two other people who have both lived here with me at some point in the past BOTH agree!), so, yeah, I do not think it would be wise to encourage myself too mu...

Re: films we just saw
Burke and Hare- funny, not super funny but good enough. Agreed - it’s quite an enjoyable, easy watch, but wouldn’t exactly call it a good film. So many famous faces, it's nice looking out for (and trying to identify) them all, but the film sort of bumbles along... It makes you laugh here and there ...

Re: films we just saw
At the cinema in the past week - 'The Town' and Joe Dante's 'The Hole'. Like most things, 'The Hole' didn't need to be in 3D - if it hadn't been for all the (very entertaining) scared children in the cinema, I'd've wished I'd waited for this one to come out on DVD I think. Not sure how this kids/fam...

Re: Poundland horror dvd's
My friend said that he got Driller Killer, The Children and a couple of others at Poundland a week or so back but when I went in yesterday (the same shop) they only had the Cayman Collection lot. I guess the others have all gone (for now), though I'll keep checking whenever I walk past, but the titl...

Re: films we just saw
Oh dear, multiple titles followed by Italian names invariably means you're in for something rare, exciting but generally mediocre. The number of films that I've been underwhelmed by twice, after buying a dvd that bares no resemblance to anything in my vhs collection I'll start getting deja vu in th...

Actually, the linked-to one, above, is not silly! It sounds fairly studious to me. Admittedly I like the sound of the silly one a bit more though...

'Zombie Studies' now official course at Baltimore University
In case you've not seen: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-11219411 I thought I'd heard about this ages ago on the Mail-Order Zombie podcast but, actually, thinking about it, I think that was something else? I remember hearing about a course at an American college/uni that (I think) had been...

Re: films we just saw
Well, Lovefilm managed to confuse the hell out of me - I requested 'Strip Nude For Your Killer' by Andrea Bianchi, they sent me a disk that very clearly said 'My Dear Killer', except the plastic wallet it was in said it was 'Strip Nude...' by Tonino Valerii ... WHAT!? So, after a quick look online, ...

Re: Piranha 3D (yay it's an 18 cert)
Finally saw this yesterday and loved it! As long as you don't prod too much at parts of the plot, all's good! The gore did not disappoint. Why aren't Christopher Lloyd and Ving Rhames in all films, all the time? :( As for the 3D, did the text of the opening credits hurt anybody else's eyes? It was l...
