Really enjoyed this and another one of my favourites of the weekend but then I'm biased being a fan of zombie movies.

However I've said too much.......

Love American Werewolf and I was pleased to be able to see it on the big screen for the first time. It looked great with the effects still holding up and bettering a lot of what we end up with today. Unfortunate with the sync problems, particularly bad during the "Alamo" joke. Found the do...

Didn't know what to expect from this and its become one of the highlights of the fest for me

Nicely plotted with some unflinching brutal moments. Thought the lead actor was excellent (did I hear that this was his first lead in a movie?)

A well made movie with some impressive sequences (such as pile of dead bodies) but too many questions remain - one being how did the version of Jess driving, escape the crash? I would have been interested to see how the loop might have been broken rather than the film ending as it did. Severance all...

Thoroughly enjoyed this B-movie with some quite impressive effects done with the small budget I thought the humour and overall tone worked well which reminded me of the more "multiplex" Evolution from a few years ago - Infestation was better! Liked the fact that Cooper remained a bit of a ...

While in London today I picked up and staggered off with that Universal Monsters Legacy 17-film box set as mentioned on the last page. HMV Trocadero have two left, one of the HMVs in Oxford Street has a small stack of five or six. Apparently the manufacturers have deleted them so if you want it, go...

Big Dumb Fun!.......but tremendously enjoyable :D This was a lot like the recent Italian Job movie in that they are enjoyable films in their own right but nowhere near match the originals. Just wondered, what the rating on this is to be at the multiplexes as there was quite a bit of bloody violence ...

Re: Martyrs

Controversial - yes, hard hitting - yes, vile subject matter - yes, most horrific movie I've ever seen - no, for me that was last years The Girl Next Door. . Have to completely agree with this, found Girl next door much more affecting to watch. In Martyrs torture sequence found that as she gets con...

For me this was indeed one of the worst :( I'm quite a fan of the very low budget looking films but this just turned me off from the story. Hang on a mo, what was the plot again! It just felt like the ambling zombies featured in the movie, all over the place with no real direction In particular the ...

One of the best of the fest for me :D . Totally enjoyable and very funny After talking with others, seems this may be the "sleeper hit" of this years festival. What helped this immensely is that it managed to keep zombies fresh (no pun intended) Most notable is the flying from the gr...

Did enjoy this a great deal, served up everything a midnite movie should do and then some. Thought the stop-motion Ray Harryhausen moment was nice, wonder what he thinks! Also enjoyed the Q&A with Frank and the 2 stars. He seems a very genuine, approachable guy. Bring Mr Henenlotter back to Frig...

I'd have to 2nd, 3rd and 4th these comments :D Do feel the problem at present with 3D is that fast movement becomes all a blur, something that will hopefully improve soon (at least by the time of Camerons Avatar next year). Don't think Scar really utilised the "gimmick" of 3D to the full. ...

Hi, Well I'm currently trying to buy fewer DVD's to catch up on all those I've not yet watched (like thats going to work! ) However, just stopped by my local Poundland and found their selling films on the "Hard Gore" label? These were Creepozoids Dead Creatures Strange Behaviour At D...

Thoroughly enjoyed this from start to finish. The zaniness of the whole thing just sucked me in. Its one of those films when you leave your brain at the door before watching and you'll be in for a good time. Some very funny moments; can't get the stump of the arm being cordorized to Hamlet cigar tun...

Trailer trash was a highlight for me last year (even went out and bought Gwendoline!) The same quantity and quality was sorely missed this year, although the horror horn and red screen were brilliant from the chap who scared himself so much his hair stood on end. Great to get the brief segment...
