I'm looking forward to the sequel:

Jack Bauer vs The Exorcist II: Ponds

The tagline: Ponds cast reflections too!

Sure, I like entertainment, just like any fellow cinema-goer. If that isn't offered, give me something to think about. Unfortunately neither of these were presented in The Dead Outside. I wasn't confused, but I did have to explain to some friends what happened. And nope, intenstines aren't my favour...

Truely the stinker of the festival. Unlike some of the other duffers, The Dead Outside took itself too seriously but had no suspense. What it had shovels full of was dull dialogue, awful acting, a ploy twist so poorly revealed that it confused half the audience and cinematography so dull it could on...

Damn it, if I'd known Charlie Brooker was going to be there, I'd have brought along my copy of Dawn of the Dumb I'm currently reading. I love his sour foul mouthed take on the media - "I hope you like it. And if you don't .... you can f*ck off!" If politics is too boring to satirise, take ...

Again good to see the general consensus was positive for what I expected (and everyone else I suspect) to be standard Hollywood fare.

Yeah, it may not have made me jump quite so much if the sound hadn't been so brutal, but there were still some effectively creepy scenes.

I'm soo blinkered - I mean how can anyone NOT LOVE Bad Biology?! But evidently there are some, which I guess just goes to show how varied horror fans appetites are (a good thing, surely?). Possibly my favourite of the day, and it's inspired me to go out and purchase Basket Case and Brain Damage - mo...

I found the 3D effect for the opening credits pretty effing incredible, but I haven't seen a film in 3D since 1983, so I have been deprived of such technical wizardry. However, the 3D effect itself was the only thing I could recommend about Scar. I too had a couple of moments where the images blurre...

As is the case with a lot of micro-micro-budget films at the festival, they don't tend to stand up well compared to the rest of the (low-but-not-miniscule-budget) movies. This personally wasn't my cup of tea, but it did look like everyone had a blast making it. ... And best shower scene of the festi...

Nice to see so many people had similar thoughts as myself. I was a little troubled that the "social commentary" was reactionary, but once we got to see just how extreme Brett was prepared to go to avenge his dog, the film tipped into action/horror and left any realism behind. But it achiev...
