Re: FrightFest has a new home for 2016

Ooh, haven't been on here in ages, wanted to give feedback on the cinema - I think it'll work really well, all 12 screens are accessed from the one big corridor, so no half hour deathmarch to find the next screen. Nice big area at the front to congregate, a cheeky Wetherspoons down the hall, a Teppa...

James - Sorry I mixed up the "Switch your Bloody Phones Off" when speaking with you, it had been a long fest by that point.
No sorry required, by the time we get halfway through FF all bets are off re: sanity, memory, and knowing what day it is...

Eastern Promises - fantastic, it's not as good as History of Violence, but it'll satisfy your violence cravings. Closer in tone to Dirty Pretty Things, and by the same writer. Cast are all great, and if you fancy Viggo in the slightest, you'll be pleased to know he gets completely naked. Stardust - ...

As a HUGE fan of the Silent Hill games (except Silent Hill 4: The Room... played a little over half way and then put it down, never to pick it up again. Strange, I did the same with RE4. Same here with Silent Hill, love the games, but SH4 was lame - it wasn't a SH game until the last minute, they d...

Dead of Night (1945, classic British horror, proper scary stuff), and Commando, the R1 director's cut. Two quite different movies... I love Commando, it's fab, and Dead of Night still scares me with that ventriloquist story.

Gave it 30 minutes, then left. Hated the two main characters, they did several stupid things in a row, and then decided to have a SHOWER after meeting the crazy backwoods nutters, also after seeing the pr0n and bloodstained blowup doll on the couch. No excuse for that. Don't care how inventive it go...

Only got 2 - They Live, and Dead of Night. After the first few questions, we both quietly folded up our answer slips (with nothing written on them) and dropped them under the seat... So difficult, it became a bit boring, like listening to something with no translation...

Count me in for the snoozing. Just went on and on, if I hadn't been so tired I'd have walked out... Shame, as I thought it started well.

Re: the fifth pose

"and im curious as to what the last pose is though ill never know" I was too and asked Adam about it at the signing after. He said it was the pose he had found his dead mother in. I think I'm even more creeped out by him now. I think he meant Mason's dead mother - it's mentioned that his ...

I really liked this one. I totally get why some didn't like it, and can't argue with that - it was slowly paced, could have maybe done with losing 5 or 10 mins - but it really worked for me. Maybe it helped that Black Sheep was a bit of a let down, and I wanted to be freaked out and put through some...

Finally saw Man On Fire - Denzel is awesome as usual, the revenge is brutal and fantastic, and pretty hardcore. Downsides? I don't think I can watch Tony Scott movies any more, unless he stops that stupid editing shite, it makes my head hurt. What do you get, visually, out of the screen going all wo...
