Let the Right One In. Breathtaking. The first 'horror' film (and I'm discounting Pan's here as I consider that more of a fantasy/civil war fusion) to make me cry. Anyone who has ever been bullied, anyone who has ever felt lonely, anyone who has ever lost someone they care for deeply? Cannot fail to ...

As a HUGE fan of the Silent Hill games (except Silent Hill 4: The Room... played a little over half way and then put it down, never to pick it up again. Strange, I did the same with RE4. Perhaps it's a four thing?) it can only be insanity that has kept me from seeing the film thus-far. Particularly ...

Ordered Ultraviolet - no, not the crappy film - the TV series (6 eps) from 1998. I remember liking this a LOT when I watched it (was it channel 4...?) so looking forward to revisiting the 'leeches' :D

I'm resisting. I want the proper experience, not the shiny "remastered" popcorn version for chavvy peasant imbeciles. Release it properly and show some respect for artistic intention, you money-hogging bastards. I hear what you're saying, but you've got to question QT's artistic intention...

Seen quite a few films since posting here. Did watch For Your Consideration as planned. Did not like it. Was it trying to be a parody? It fails. It's just... not funny. Or even fun. And not scathing enough to be bitchily entertaining. It's just blah. Also kinda blah yet somehow mesmerising at the sa...

Serenity , with its ass-kicking female (true to form, Joss. True to form.) I enjoyed a lot, and so will push myself harder to finally watch the Firefly dvds I've had sitting on the shelf for months and months. Little Miss Sunshine is just a delight. A road trip featuring a dysfunctional family of t...

After a rec from a friend I await the delivery of Last of the Mohicans. Also ordered the John Hughes collection today (The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles and Weird Science). At a teeny-weeny £5.99 it's an absolute steal. I'm even tempted to buy a set for another friend who has 'So, what would you l...

Just remember guys/gals that our likes/dislikes are subjective and that if someone doesn't like the same film/actor/whatever as you it's not that they have NO taste (or that they're a muppet :P) but that it's a taste that's different to yours ;) I can't really comment on what I think of Costner myse...

An off the cuff trip to the cinemas yesterdy resulted in me seeing Run, Fatboy, Run (it was the first film to start after I arrived). Whiffing ever so slighty of 'blokes giving their mates some work' (Pegg and Moran/Schwimmer and Azaria) but that could just be my cynicism seeping through... and unti...

Finally watched a film pertaining to the 9/11 attacks (didn't feel ready until now after that day left me in the bleakest of moods for weeks, fearful, convinced almost, it was the beginning of 'the end') and put United 93 in the player. My god, I was a mess for hours after watching it. Greengrass ge...

As soon as Paul mentioned this as a flash of inspiration during a meeting, I immediately thought it would great. So glad the general concensus is it was a success; so much so that there are now requests for a Spiral commentary! As I said before the festival, it's not something the average person is ...

Hatchet - Live!

Was happy to see a nice turn out for this unique event: Adam and Alan record the dvd commentary for Hatchet. It seemed all involved had a good time...

So, did you? Was it what you expected?
