Re: To Trailer or not?

I used to avoid all trailers and even the synopses on the website. I have found in the past even the film description can be spoiler ish. When someone has seen a film blind then describes it by saying 'has a twist you won't see coming', that's a big spoiler to me as all I do is wait for the twist! T...

Re: Some Kind Of Hate

I too was in the horror screen where we got the very long introduction from the director who was trying to portray it as some sort of reach out to the bullied. What a joke it then was to see such a misguided film on the subject. I don't think there's a self harm bandwagon here, the fact the ghost ha...

Re: Loud laughing man in arrow screen

I think I know who this is and if so he's been Frightfesting for years. Yes, not great to be near him in any screening...

Full Weekend Pass Available

Just shouting out in case anyone knows someone who would buy a weekend pass for screen 7 for the remaining 4 or maybe 3 days.
Girl next seat but one to me has one available.

Post on here if interested.

Cheers.

Re: films we just saw

Tonight I saw 'Sx_Tape' from Candyman and Paperhouse director Bernard Rose at the London Film Festival. It had some decent scare moments but I did find it to be quite an unoriginal found footage affair. I think that VHS/VHS2 have now shown how original you can be with found footage so the more 'trad...

Nipped home for a power nap during this one and from the comments I'm really glad I did!

Re: Cheap Thrills

Loved this. Supremely well acted with a likeable lead making the audience really engage with the challenges he took on and his reasons for doing so.
Shame this was in the late slot as would have played very well in the 9pm slot.

Re: 100 Bloody Acres

Quite a few pacing issues here. Felt like maybe a re edit would help. Was perfectly placed in the late slot though.

Thought this was really enjoyable and have been recommending to friends. Found the balance of comedy and scares just right.

Re: V/H/S 2

Really enjoyed this on the big screen with a crowd even though I had already watched it on VOD before I realised it was at Frightfest.

Liked it about as much as the first one.

Re: Big Bad Wolves

Not quite worthy of the hype but that may just be me as although I had survived quite well, the tiredness got to me during this and I nodded off a couple of times. This meant me missing important plot points and so not really understanding the ending! Thought the soundtrack (which was played VERY lo...

Re: Dark Touch

This is a strange one as I actually really liked it but I'm not sure why. I found it quite funny a lot of the time but I'm not sure how much of that was intentional. The children abusing the dolls at the party, the mad pregnant woman laughing away at her own stories, all quite bizarre but I did end ...
