Kickstarter - Leslie Vernon sequel

Hi all, I just wanted to point this out in case anyone wasn't aware of it. A Kickstarter project's been set up to fund a sequel to the well-considered 2006 movie Behind The Mask: The Rise Of Leslie Vernon. They've struggled with financing traditionally so have turned to fans to get it funded. It has...

Re: Where are you sitting?

P22 - not my ideal choice (as the site picked it for me for some reason) but at least I should be able to read subtitles this year!

Re: FRIGHTFEST 2010 LINEUP!!!

Nice lineup, though I hope Tobe Hooper doesn't mind being asked about Poltergeist a lot :) Glad to see Monsters, The Loved Ones and A Serbian Film there (and a quiz!), otherwise a few titles that sound promising as always. Here's to hoping you guys don't get all the tickets in the queue while I'm wa...

Re: GLASGOW FRIGHTFEST FEB 2010

I enjoyed it immensely, especially since I managed to meet up with a lot of you for post-movie drinks! Movies of the fest for me were Frozen and [REC] 2, but overall it was a decent bunch of movies - even the worst movies were mediocre rather than downright bad! Self plug: I have my full reviews her...

Re: Freebies what did you bag?

Damn, I missed the Driftwood DVD, but managed to bag Death Note and Fragile. I also got an Amer coaster, and a second copy of the FFX T-shirt I paid full whack for in August :?

Re: Where are you coming from?

At the risk of showing off, I flew in from Spain yesterday. Luckily my life is far more boring than Adam Green's, so even if the flight was delayed, all was good! I took advantage of the extra time to see The Wolfman. Not time well spent, to be honest.

Re: GLASGOW FRIGHTFEST FEB 2010

Yeah, I have to add my comments, FF is a very friendly festival. I knew absolutely nobody first time I went to London in 2007 apart from vaguely knowing where to go to bump into Dan & Ben from the Mondo Movie podcast (who I'd never met in the flesh). I've never had any problems chatting to peopl...

Re: Accommodation in Glasgow for FF 2010

Well, after looking around it seems the cheapest decent (non B&B anyway) option for a lonely traveller like me is the Travelodge so I booked that. See you all there...

That's nice to hear... Looking forward to this line up and I already have a (very cheap, I admit) flight booked so don't want to miss out :S

Re: GLASGOW LINEUP!

OK, this is failing after numerous attempts and I won't be in a position to phone the UK till tomorrow. Anyone know how quickly this is selling out?

Re: GLASGOW LINEUP!

Grrr... flashbacks to the Empire booking process for me. Took ages to locate the page, doesn't accept a non-UK postcode and then chokes when I submit the payment. Hopefully I'll get it through without being charged 3 times like I did in the summer...

Oh French lady loved this rather boring, not very scary, generally bad acted film. It takes more than a Walkman and some crappy music to give the 80's vibe. I had a big problem with this as it is an 80's retro film that thematcally is a more 70's film. I think it should have been set 5 years earlie...

Didn't really rate this one at all - I thought I'd be in for one twisted, sick ride along the lines of early Cronenberg. But, the first half was depressingly conventional and once you get over the central concept (which I knew well in advance), there's not a huge amount to it. The ending also wasn't...

Enjoyed this a lot more than Autopsy, though I only have vague memories of the original (I remember the lipstick scene being from the first). For some reason, it didn't click till the end credits that I'd been watching Edward Furlong! Still, a great second movie from Gierasch and definitely a...
