Re: 2019 Ticket info.
Congrats to all those who secured their tickets for this years 20th Anniversary festival - hope you all have a fantastic time as I’ve done in the past 14 years I’ve attended. 👍 Having a break from it all this year and having my own private Genre Fest at home with a few mates! :D Booze, Food, wall to...

Re: From the beginning
Attending since 2003 - only missed one which was 2016 and that was purely because I couldn't face a bank holiday weekend in Shepherds Bush. Stumbled upon Frightfest in 2003 as I was passing Prince Charles Cinema and thought it looked like a decent way of spending August B hol weekend. Had full pass ...

Re: Chuck Steel: Night of the Trampires
Brilliant fun. Plus, the time and effort put into the film is just madness to comprehend. Sure it was rather over the top, but it did what I had been looking forward to it doing, and I had a great time watching it. Totally agree - it’s humour (over the top, non PC, juvenile etc etc) was completely ...

Re: Frightfest: Beneath the Dark Heart of Cinema
Personally Tulpa was one of my all time absolute favourites ... for admittedly all the wrong comedic reasons. I bought the DVD and disappointingly it had been recut ... can’t POSSIBLY think why .... Zampaglione learned a huge lesson that year - don’t bloody rush and try to cram your edit into a coup...

Re: Frightfest: Beneath the Dark Heart of Cinema
For those of us who didn't see the doc, dare we ask what was going on in 2012? Looking back at the line-up there were some good films on that year, so presumably it was more of a behind the scenes kind of thing... I think the gist of it was, the festival was getting bigger and bigger, and their rol...

Re: Frightfest: Beneath the Dark Heart of Cinema
Yes I really enjoyed this one - was good to see behind the scenes and listen to the organisers being interviewed in depth. Yes it would have been great for some of the bigger names to have been interviewed but I guess getting an interview from the likes of Guillermo del Toro these days is going to b...

Re: Chuck Steel: Night of the Trampires
Enjoyed every second of it. I personally loved the relentless completely non PC humour in it. It lampooned 80s movies like Cobra relentlessly and had a better more coherent story than many of the movies I sat through this weekend. It’s humour was exactly my kind of humour - hey I loved Postal, bough...

Re: BRING BACK THE Q & As
We have decided that having a flood of people walking out in front of the visiting guests when they are being interviewed due to other films starting or limited scheduled breaks is really not a good look. It can't be something the guests are unfamiliar with if they've been at other festivals though...

For me personally I thought it was one of the weaker Oh well, looks like I read it wrong. Others will prob tell you the exact opposite - I bet we’ve all had those moments when in a Q&A for example someone raves about how great they thought a movie was or writes a long lovingly detailed re...

Re: What Keeps You Alive
Not bad this one. I think it worked well with a same sex couple - for me it’s more unexpected and scarier when the cold calculating psycho is a woman. You’d think by now though that if your husband/wife/girlfriend/boyfriend suggested a nice weekend away at some deserted creepy house in the woods in ...
