Re: The State Of British Cinemas
Old style cinemas are still my preference, modern multiplexes are all the same and very little differentiates between them, give me old fashioned anyday. I remember in Blackpool having an Odeon (now Funny Girls cross dressing cabaret show/club) and also an ABC / Cannon which is now the Syndicate nig...

Re: The State Of British Cinemas
To be fair the only cineworld I have been to is in Glasgow and that was ok, in Manchester I normally go to AMC on Deansgate or if they have it on, then The Cornerhouse. Cinema trips are few and far between due to work shifts atm and the fact that there has been nothing of late to truly capture my in...

Re: Films everyone loves... except you!
Right take the film question aside but I can't see the love for Lucio Fulci , I watched House By The Cemetery last night and yeah ok it's not aged well but it's bloody rubbish. Unless i'm missing a masterpiece that may just change my mind about the guy I never want my doors to be darkened by him aga...

Woah now just hold on a minute.....Marlin wrote: Friday the 13th. The original was awful with only sequels 6,4 and 2 being watchable. I really don't get it - The Burning was a far superior film, yet the gubbins that was Cunningham's effort went down in history. Just dire.

Re: Films everyone loves... except you!
I suppose it's only his opinion however there is also a train of thought that says only give your opinion if asked for it. So what started as a Q & A about his film turned into something much more. That said I did think he had a good personality and was a good FF guest overall and is passionate ...

Re: what dvds are we buying?
Tescos have SURVIVAL OF THE DEAD for a fiver. So I picked a copy up. Probably the weakest of Romero's zombie movies, but I think it might be worth another look. Not in mine they haven't :( Did look though but no joy Too bloody dear for new releases though, was not impressed with £13 for Heartless.

Re: Blockbuster Video
Never been to Blockbusters for years, last time was when I lived in Blackpool and that would be about 9 years ago.
For the cost or renting i'd rather pay a few quid more and own the disc, even if it means waiting till it comes down in price on hmv.com but then at least it's my own.
