Re: [REC.2]
There's absolutely no point making a shot-by-shot re-make, plus I think the fact it was in Spanish made the faster scenes seem alot more hectic and mental for me.
What's made it worse was that they've just abandoned the story for the sequel, sounds like a bit of a 'fuck you' to the writers.

Re: [REC.2]
I remember watching LHOTL in the cinema and being really uncomfortable during the rape scene, I don't remember feeling the same in the original (prob down to watching it on a laptop though). It's not often I go see films these days and am genuinely shocked or uncomfortable at parts. They didn't seem...
Re: [REC.2]
Snap, One I did like though was Last House of the Left. Thought they did a brilliant job on the re-make.
Oh and Wolfman of course, but anything from Del Toro is pretty much great.

Re: [REC.2]
I never saw Quarantine on purpose, I try and discourage people from re-making brilliant foreign films just cause Americans apparently can't be bothered watching with subs (yes, it's usually always "...for American audiences").
Word is they're doing the same with Let The Right One In.

"I remember that night - My wind-screen wiper broke!"
I liked it, thought it could go either way, but the plot was decent and was full of brilliant quotes. The whistling cop was awesome, had my pal doing it for the rest of the night though...

Re: [REC.2]
The story was very ambitious, but pulled off amazingly, and didn't leave you thinking it was a lot of balls (like it would sound if explained). What also surprised me was the first contact with an "Infected" in which the whole theatre was laughing, wonder if they intended for that? Worked ...

Re: FIGHT FEST
The argument is that someone walking by outside a cinema could get caught in a dead zone and need to call the emergency services.... because a bin has fallen on them or something... :D People who have bins fall on then in a street are simply vicims of natural selection :P they don't deserve emergen...

Re: FIGHT FEST
I think members only is a bit extreme, that's the 3rd year i've been and the first trouble i've clocked. We should have got Tim Sullivan in there to kick ass, and possibly chew bubblegum. Least the staff handled it well. (or so I got the impression). Saying that, went to see The Crazies last night a...
