Re: Creep

Best thing I saw, funny and creepy - with a few jumps (although not that subtle).

Re: Frightfest's worst movie ever?

No-one has mentioned 'Another' - on any page as far as I could see.

It was incredibly poor, and made the also-terrible 'Extinction/Expedition' look like Citizen Kane

Re: Thoughts on FrightFest @ Vue so far..

My understanding before we got there was that the tickets would be on sale at 6pm, for the day after only. When we arrived, we were told it was any time during the day - but I still believed it would be for the day after. Having joined the queue on Thursday evening (for a ticket for Julia on Friday)...

Re: How Film4 FrightFest will work in 2014

Really really sad. Thought the vue staff were exceptional this morning - best sleepy q experience by a long long way.

As Ian says, this has soured that somewhat. Feel for my fellow non-Londoners (and probably some Londoners) who couldn't make the sleepy q.

Re: Purchasing Tickets

I'm glad that I have tickets, and am looking forward to a great selection of films. But I think the customer service is utterly appalling, and frankly I've paid £320 for two terrible seats. Because of health issues, my other half is more comfortable with an aisle seat. But due to the fact that I cou...

Re: Purchasing Tickets

Booked online for the first time this year, always Sleepy-Q'd before. Thoroughly unpleasant experience. Phone staff unhelpful, website slow to updated (unless of course it's someone booking the seats you've requested - then it's superfast). And then you're left with a startlingly poor selection of a...

Breaks

I should start by saying I think this was the best festival yet, I think the quality of the films was superb. I can't name one film that wasn't an entertaining watch. I should also add that the timings regarding the main/discovery screens were also excellent. However, there's one minor suggestion: c...
I can't wait to see it again.

But I'm trying to find a willing group of volounteers/victims to go and watch this
We're going to see it again next Friday, with friends.

I rarely go twice to watch a film, but am going jjust for their reactions...

I think the point is that it is ambiguous. SPOILER --- She could have told her that she saw heaven/an afterlife etc and the woman killed herself to get there quicker. or She said there was nothing there, and the woman killed herself cos there was nothing left to hope/quest for. That's what I took an...

When the website crashed got a little worried, but back up quickly. And got tickets remarkably earlier than expected.

Guessing its not unreserved, probly those of us buying over the web will have to get what we're given.

Re: tickets

They're on sale at noon tomorrow, but are they available in person before they are over the phone - ie is it better to go down and queue up?

They want a 2-3 page treatment based loosely around the following: The Tower of London has a ceremony of the keys: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ceremony_of_the_Keys, whereby the Tower is locked every night. A group of kids get locked in... I have the form etc emailed to me - can email it out, if som...

Hmm, I really liked it. Although I love any film with bad kids in it.

Although, as that's the twist - there's not really any need for the original poster to wwatch it! :)

Tbh, me and my better half were a little disappointed, it only lasted about 25 mins (they could have had it in the main screen before Smash Cut) and mainly consisted of a runthrough of the competition, plus a few tips from a screenwriter (which were already on a printed sheet). I would definitely go...
