Re: Turn off your bloody cigarettes!

there was a guy near me smoking one but he only did it between films that I saw so I was fine with it.

Re: Nymph

yeah, basically it was a laugh. I'd rather watch something unintentionally funny and inept than something snarky and intentionally B-movie and bad (like many films nowaday). It's much more honest, endearing and interesting. the problem with making an intentionally bad film is that at best you'll en...

Re: Nymph

I can see this becoming a staple of 'bad movie' nights everywhere. There was enough there to make it watchable (a bizarre premise, beautiful people running around in few clothes), and the dialogue was laugh-out-loud in places. (the moby dick quotes were personal favorites) No, It wasn't what you'd c...

Re: Home

I felt like they were just checking off a list of horror movie cliches with this film.
Spoiler:
-Spooky wardrobe, check.
-Scary mirror, check.
-Creepy child ghost, check.
-Being attacked by an invisible force, check.
-Another creepy child, this time the antichrist, check.

yeah, 'it was a test' seems to be the only explanation. I guess that covers the fake man-hunt.

But then, what was going on with the cow earlier in the film?

why did they chase him down so hard and kill his friend if they knew he couldn't escape anyway?

What is the film with the scary looking female puppet moving toward the screen? I saw this scene featured in one of the actual FF films this weekend too.

Re: Thoughts on FrightFest @ Vue so far..

Pros of the Vue setup: -being spread over 4 floors meant that it was much easier to move around the cinema and the queues were much smaller overall, less time spent queuing is good. -easier to get hold of discovery screen tickets after the initial rush Cons: -it was pot luck which films would clash/...

Re: Frightfest's worst movie ever?

HOW TO SURVIVE A ZOMBIE HOLOCAUST This film was just cringeworthy bad - How the fuck did this shit even get screened. Saw a number of people walk out during this film and not to return I slept through most of this film so I'd be inclined to agree. Damned by Dawn from a few years ago probably tops m...

Hey, I've mirrored your chart on imgur in case it goes down for any reason, hope you don't mind.

6.5 hours trying and I couldn't get the tickets. Very, very sad - and I need a drink now!

Well done to all who prevailed! (Did anyone manage to get a pair together?)
I managed by pure luck. Had to book one then quickly book the other.

Re: How Film4 FrightFest will work in 2014

I was just told on the phone to Vue that the reason they cannot sell festival passes over the phone is because they are having the same problems we are with the computer booking. Someone else at Vue said they were told last night not to sell any on the phone. That means they knew about this yesterd...
