Mixed feelings about this one... Some pretty good deaths and one REALLY good one (you know which). Felt a little too DTV and had waaay too much shaky-cam, but you could see glimmers of great direction hidden in there, I think Dowling just needs to rely less on his cinematographer(s).

Re: 2001 MANIACS: FIELD OF SCREAMS

I loved Field of Screams... it was just like watching a horror comic on the big screen. Some inventive deaths, the first of which I can see perhaps having trouble with the censors... The later death with Scarlet and Val - did NOT see that coming! As I said in my review: "Completely politically ...

Not replaced completely... All the UK Zone channels have been bought by CBS, with a view to rebranding them as is (as far as I'm aware). Chance there may be more CBS back catalogue stuff to watch too.

I've just finished Slash Hits Vols 2+3, which I bought at FF - really good read if you like film guides and slasher movies (which I do). I'm about to start reading Cinema Sewer Vol.2

I actually enjoyed Harper's Island, it made a change for US television to do a slasher-esque mini series. Plus I've been a Christopher Gorham fan since Jake 2.0
