Very interesting idea. Made the most of its premises. Though the film lost its track at the end (why dropping the linguistic questions in favour for a *real* zombie movie?) I am eager to see the two announced sequels.

This makes it a good film? Don't think so.

The film relied solely on the crossover of two beloved genres. That's not enough for 2009. Probably it wouldn't have been enough in 1969, though.

Agree with jonbly, though I found the film well balanced between comedy and horror. Liked a lot the straight forward attitude. No bullshit explanation, no fake mercy with sympathetic characters. Another big plus: The humour comes mainly from affectionately sketched characters, not from oh-so-amusing...
