Re: The End?

I enjoyed this for the first hour or so but it outstayed its welcome. Had multiple endings which made the title somewhat ironic. Cut by 20 or 30 minutes this could be much more effective.

Thought this Mexican psychological thriller was excellent. Pretty much a two hander, shades of Hitchcock. Keeps you guessing too!

Re: Killing Ground

Yes, this was great and extremely bleak. Loved the two timelines.

Re: Lowlife

Went in with no expectations to this one and it turned out to be my favourite of the festival. Hope it gets a wide release - it deserves it.

Re: Better Watch Out

I was amazed by how dark this got, enjoyed it a lot more than I expected to. I predict tabloid outrage when this is released.

Reminded me a bit of the 80s book

Re: Overall Thoughts

Overall, a brilliant few days, thanks to everyone involved! Felt like the strongest line-up for a few years. The main screen is a fantastic venue and it's great to be back at the centre of things in Leicester Square. Downside was the loss of the "community" feel which I thought the Vue She...

I had to walk out and film ruined my festival.
Presume the reveal being referred to is that
Spoiler:
the kidnapper was actually a woman
I thought it was dodgily exploitative, although not quite to the extent it looked like it was going to be from the opening act.

Re: Personal safety

Good advice! Some other ideas I saw suggested after the Manchester attack: - bring a portable phone charger - have a note of some emergency contact details in your bag / wallet (how many phone numbers do you actually know if your phone isn't working!) - have a note of your hotel address too, and of ...

Re: Discovery Screen Tickets

Wonder if the number of seats on general sale is dictated by the cinemas? From @frightfest on twitter- There won't be any more tickets released through the site, but we will do our best to fill each screen that has empty seats on the day. Best thing will be to check at the #FrightFest ticket booth a...

Re: Discovery Screen Tickets

Got everything I wanted too (also 7!) but took over an hour - definitely worse than last year which I sorted out over a coffee

Had no problems selecting seats unlike others - I was using an iPhone

Re: Discovery Screen Tickets

Given two out of three of the discovery screens are so small, it's worrying that half the tickets in each are on sale as single tickets. Not going to be much left for passholders on the 19th.

Re: Food

Strada on Panton Street (the road leading off the corner of Leicester Square where All Bar One is and the Odeon West End used to be) gives 20% off every day if you have any theatre or cinema ticket. Can't remember if that's 20% off the total bill or 20% off food. May be better money off deals with v...

Re: Discovery Screen Tickets

Last year you could show tickets on your phone both to collect passes and for entry to discovery screen showings. Same ticketing system this year although different cinemas so not sure if it will be the same?
