Re: The Woman
it appears im the only one who thought this was predictable, unoriginal nonsense. everything was so obvious from the start, the script was pants and every character seemed to do exactly what you expected them to do. some nice gore at the end but it all just felt like an extended masters of horror ep...

Re: A Night In The Woods
it felt like a triumph of sound design over script. if in doubt make it really loud, that'll scare them. did they use the blair witch script by accident? we'll never know. i think you know your in trouble when people are giggling at the end of your 'horror' film. pity really cos the rest of monday w...

Re: A Serbian Film - PULLED from line-up
i hate to be the one that just wont let this lie but ive been in touch with some very helpful people at westminster council and they dont seem to have a clue why serbian film and isoyg were forced to have a bbfc cert, so FF organisers could you give out the information about who told you you had to?...
Re: Monsters
i thought monsters was a really cool film, but you have got to wonder what a 12A cert film is doing in the prime slot of a horror film festival. especially one with very little violence or blood or horror.
still good though, something i shall see again when it goes on general release.

Re: The Tortured
i really liked this one, it took itself seriously and i didnt see the end coming a mile away, which was a relief. some of the cruelty on display was pretty harsh stuff. ive got a thing about toe torture, i just cant handle it at all. and man did that guy have a bad few days.

i write a lot, so i tend to keep an eye out at the points where signposts are meant to turn up. 20/30 mins into a 90 min horror film there will almost always be a passing shot of something important.
Re: 13 Hrs
i agree it was a bit slow to get going but it was entertaining enough once it suddenly kicked off, ive got to say though, i saw the 'twist' coming about 45 mins before it happened, that wig in the bedroom sort of made me realise what was going on. although i liked the extra little twist that explain...

Re: A Serbian Film - PULLED from line-up
absolute nonsense. whats the point of having a horror film festival where you have to cut the horror out of things. yes a serbian film is a bit of a rough ride but its just a film. and now i read that i spit on your grave is cut as well, since the advertising clearly stated it was going to be showin...
