Re: what dvds are we buying?

Is that the tartan Lady Vengeance? I was going to get that, but it says on play.com that it's the version that fades to B/W as the film goes on, so I decided to wait for the inevitable trilogy box set. Hopefully they'll do a bluray version of the DVD set that came in a box like the one in Oldboy and...

Re: GLASGOW FRIGHTFEST FEB 2010

Sounds like a good plan if it fits in with the start time.

Re: GLASGOW FRIGHTFEST FEB 2010

I dunno. On the GFF site it says that tickets go on sale at 11:00 on the 21st, but I phoned up the Glasgow Film Theatre and they said the 20th.

I liked Dead Man's Shoes too. It has a great central performance, but I somehow didn't think that the "gang" were believable. I saw 2012 last night which was too long. I would have preferred it if it had had some Armageddon-style humour, but there were some OK CGI disaster scenes I guess.

It certainly couldn't be called good, but I didn't think it was as absolutely horrible as some did. I did go in with very low expectations though. Upside: Opening was OK and I actually quite liked the idea of the shadows (though the execution of it was rubbish and it didn't really have any connectio...

I was really happy with this - a definite return to form I reckon.
Loved the ferry scene with the underwater zombies.
I also like that it had some deeper themes but without the preachiness of Diary, which pissed me off a bit with the stuff about how youtube makes us into uncaring monsters.

The bloke said that he was a day trader and that the camera cost half what he made in a day. So I suppose he was day-trading when he wasn't filming or something.

Started tucking in to Mr Bills Massive List o' Zombie Comics: XXXombies - About what happens to people from the set of a porn film in the middle of a zombie outbreak. This is good, really nails the sleazy/grindhouse feel. BlackGas - More of a serious tone. Another zombie outbreak story, the twist be...
