Re: Frightfest Thanks
I only managed to watch six films this year, and out of those there was only one I didn't like. The others were of a high standard and very unique. My only criticism, is that I would have liked to see some scary horror. (Oh and I was disappointed Dominic Brunt couldn't stay longer - would've loved t...

Re: Frightfest Glasgow 2017 Reviews
Of the 6 films I saw, I thoroughly enjoyed 5 of them. This is just a rough order, that possibly might change once I've fully digested what I saw. 6) Bloodlands - dull, underwritten characters, sickening slaughter scene 5) It Stains The Sands Red - a unique, witty & stylish take on zombie horror ...

Re: Films For Glasgow 2017
Raw for me too. Although I'm always a sucker for a decent shark movie! I must admit I don't know too much about most of the films, so I'm hoping for some pleasant (should that be suitably horrific?) surprises! A surprise is always nice :) I haven't booked a ticket for Cage Dive...just because it's ...

Re: Films For Glasgow 2017
It looks like the forum's pretty dead these days... I was wondering which films people were most looking forward to in Glasgow? Raw is at the top of my list, it seems to have made some waves on the festival circuit. Detour looks like it'll be a fun ride - which might be needed, because a couple of t...

Re: Previous FrightFest Films showing on the Horror Channel
Some great films there.
Seeing as I'm unable to make it down to London, I'll make do with all the titles I've yet to see from Frightfest Presents!!
Thanks Horror Channel & Frightfest

Re: Frightfest Glasgow 2016 Reviews
THE HEXECUTIONERS 6.5/10 - Interesting concept, great performances from the two leads, excellent setting (spectacular maze!)....just left me wanting more of the cult (cool skull mask design). The ending felt a little rushed and the grey cinematography (although appropriate to the lead's mental stat...

Re: My top and bottom 3
Of the films I saw, My Top 3 are: We Are Still Here - a brilliantly fun and funny throwback; it was scary (I jumped out my seat more than once - I hate basements!), had an excellent cast clearly relishing the material, and I loved the atmosphere, the intentionally awful decor and costumes, the hilar...

Re: FrightFest Glasgow 2015
Reviews of the seven features I caught at this year's Frightfest in order of preference: 1. WYRMWOOD - Head and shoulders and guts above every other lame zombie film of late. Great characters perfectly played, hilarious one-liners and sight gags, and with great visual verve, WYRMWOOD was a treat. A ...

Re: GLASGOW LINEUP!
Just noticed that Amer is reviewed in the review section- and recieves a five-star recommendation from Alan Jones, who calls it a "faultless masterpiece". Perhaps this may just end up being the festival highlight! ....
