Re: Adam Green and Downloads

ah R1s, I wouldn't do it anyway, was just thinking out loud once again, I'm all about the semantics. Like what if you fall asleep in the cinema, alright to sneak in next time? Or if you worked on a film but they short changed you the cost of the film on dvd, alright to download? those are both compl...

Re: Adam Green and Downloads

Spotify's premium service pretty much offers that already. Although if you look into the amount of the revenue that goes back to the artist it's pretty shocking. was just about to mention spotify again. I think it's the greatest thing on the internet, that and youtube. I don't even have the premium...

Re: Adam Green and Downloads

Now every Tom, Dick and Harry has seen it (albeit illegally). The girls in my office who think I am a freak for going to Frightfest have all watched it. How f***ed up is that? The censors may think they have protected the masses whereas instead they have trumpeted its existence to them and made the...

Re: Adam Green and Downloads

I'll be making the change soon, Blockbuster have been doing some ridiculous deals recently, so cheap to make a good start on the collection. Everytime I go in there it's 3 for £20 on about 10 I really want. Talking of imports, I've never seen it as being damaging for UK distributers before, it makes...

Re: Adam Green and Downloads

This is such a good thread, really, really interesting. Good to hear everyone’s views and arguments on downloading. I’m completely torn, not in regards to film, my collection is ridiculously big, I like having a hard copy and not watching things on my laptop. BUT reading through I’ve been questionin...

Re: Goodie bag

I can just post one to you if you want Joe, if you PM me your address and I'll sort it.
Or give it to you in person at the Halloween Event? Either way is good, really don't mind posting it.

Re: The Walking Dead TV series

Ah looks like I was beaten to it, and I rushed to the computer this morning to do it Joe! the footage shown was 3 segments put together by FX joined by some comic graphics, the camera moved between frames of the comic and all the text used was in the comic's font. The first segment was the trailer I...

Re: Primal

Was really not looking forward to this one, saw the trailer and it looked terrible. Within the first 10 minutes I was really enjoying it. Best film of the opening night for me and so much better than I thought it would be. The script really stood out, genuinely funny, I’m pretty sure the one-liners ...

Re: Dead Cert

Terrible. Worst film of the festival for me. What a complete waste of time. Did not enjoy any of this. Selling this as Dusk Til’ Dawn meets Lost Boys is ridiculous. It was the same film that these guys have made before, except a few people get bitten in it. And not even well. And you're right about ...

Re: YOUR FRIGHTFEST TOP FIVE FILMS 2010.

In no particular order,

The Loved Ones
Monsters
Red White & Blue
Buried
The Last Exorcism
Dream Home

I know 6 is cheating but I couldn't leave out Dream Home, best late night film in ages. Until the next day when The Loved Ones was shown. Both were brilliant.

much better idea. this accompanied with a piece of card held over the projector.
I think I'd prefer that version to the uncut one

Re: A Serbian Film - PULLED from line-up

actually I wouldn't mind doing this if it meant we could watch it, just need a sheet with the exact times i need to sound the airhorn and I'm good to go. That way there will be no chance of anyone seeing an erect penis or whatever else it is they think will warp our fragile little minds. Just me dan...

Re: A Serbian Film - PULLED from line-up

or have a BBFC guy with an airhorn or something. every time he sounds it, everyone put's their fingers in the ears and closes their eyes and goes 'lalalala'. then sound it again after a couple of seconds and we're back to the film.
it could work.

Re: A Serbian Film - PULLED from line-up

let me in is a great shout, would be surprised if they had that as a back up though. I was hoping for Tucker and Dale Vs Evil this year http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nx0GaB2EHUs but again can't see why they'd keep it as a back-up. fingers-crossed they will pull another one of the films from the hal...
