The BBFC will never cut 18 rated horror films again. So you can relax.
I know the BBFC quite well, today's BBFC are more likely to be embarrassed at the way they used to cut films in the past and they certainly won't want to return to those dark days.

Re: Maniac censored for teen audiences in Japan
Incredibly unusual for this to happen in Japan (of all places). Mind you they'll probably still get the uncut version on DVD.
Re: Maniac
The BBFC have passed Maniac without a single cut.

Re: Fright Fest 2012 Rumour Mill
Re - Maniac- unfortunately I haven't seen the film as yet but I don't think there has been a film screened uncut at Frightfest over the years that has gone on to be cut by the BBFC, so if it happens here it would certainly be a first. Is this re-make more violent than the original? (still cut over h...

Presumably an officially classified DVD release of the film is still out of the question there.

Re: Human Centipede II
After finally getting around to seeing it all I can say is that it was quite cuttable from the start. So no reason why it should have been rejected. The main cut was the barbed wire rape, this appears anyway to have been the lengthiest cut. Sadistic violence cuts as well. Highly unusual in this day ...

A very surprising decision by the BBFC. Cuts of only 2m+ when it was rejected just 4 months ago.

Re: Human Centipede II
According to a report on the Melon Farmers, the distributor has lost the appeal. Sorry but this information was incorrect. Melon Farmers have updated their information and confirms that the date of the appeal has yet to be fixed. So again we shall see what happens. I'm not in the least bit optimist...

Re: BBFC Watch: Upcoming Titles
Sex and Zen 3D cut by nearly 3m for sexual violence http://www.bbfc.co.uk/AFF281895/ Heavy cuts despite the BBFC being presented with a "soft" version. I can't see the director's cut being released here now. This has been a huge hit elsewhere including Australia but I can't see it doing th...
