Re: ACCOMMODATION 2013!!

We finally decided to skip frightfest this year :( A double room for 5 nights would be 365.50pounds (that is 140(!)) pounds more than in former years at HHH. Cheapest flight is 140 Euros per person. Considering the problems we had last year getting our festival passes its just not worth the substant...

You are too English. It was never a problem to ask for seats in the back rows.

Re: Was FF 13 any worse or better than other years?

My brother and I have been keeping scores on the movies we saw at FF for the last 3 years. 2012 was better than 2011 but not as good as 2010 going by our scores. Best year so far was 2009, the first year I attended but it was with a different person so it is hard to compare.

Re: London 2012 Accommodation

OK , I received & complete a survey from HHH (LSE). I made it clear that I was disappointed by price increase this year , I would strongly that anyway else who get a survey invite , fills in and mention Frightfest & the price increase ..maybe we can get FF discount ?? I did the same. Mentio...

Re: Ticketing problems

the more passes that we put on sale to meet the ever increasing demand, means actually less people attending the event. I don't get it, can anyone explain that to me? Is it because so many people always fill up the Discovery Screen so there are lots of unoccupied seats on main screen? I'm not fed u...

Re: Purchasing Tickets

What's up with all the card problems? We tried to book from Austria and ran into the same kind of troubles, first my card (just a normal Mastercard INSISTED I had to use Master Card Secure Code which I never use so I don't know it, there was ALWAYS the option to just use the card as is) then we trie...

Re: Blood Runs Cold

I think if you look at this as some kind of serious movie you lose. I think (at least I HOPE!) this is to be seen tongue in cheek, especially considering the end. If it was played either as a joke or not to be taken seriously, then that was lost too. SPOILER... Finding a Tommy Gun at the end as bei...

This being frightfest that is not necessarily the sign for a bad movie.

Re: A Lonely Place to Die

MORE SPOILERS!!!! Someone else broke their leg but managed to run for a bit afterwards! Hahaha, yeah, that bit was just hilarious. First you see him tumbling down a steep hill, even more so with the little girl, hitting trees, stones, whatnot, breaking (at least from the sound of it) his leg and not...

Re: The Wicker Tree

Why all the hate? Thought it was entertaining in a very, very, very cheesy kind of way. That Christopher Lee thing was unnecessary but besides that it was good fun.

Re: The Theatre Bizarre

I'm pissed we stayed for that one instead of going to sleep. The director mentioned, that the in-between parts where rushed, well, you could tell. What a way to waste Udo Kier. Also, André Hennicke, why would the allow him to talk english? The "I love you segment" was alright, the one with...

Re: Inbred

Horrible film. I was expecting so much more as I enjoy Chandons early amateur work and I love Cradle of Fear, even got the first run VHS, signed by Alex and Dani :) This just felt like a giant ripoff, badly executed no less. Chandon mentioned in the Q/A that the digital post production took most of ...
