Re: Hobo with a Shotgun @FrightFest Glasgow

I loved it! Thought it was hilarious throughout, and as others have mentioned was very reminiscent of old Troma movies. I didn't really see that as a bad thing, and it was way more entertaining than any Troma films I can recall. Think it's main strength was that it wasn't just making fun of those mo...

Re: films we just saw

Watched Martyrs yesterday, a mate didn't so much recommend it as tell me it was really upsetting and he wasn't wrong. In fact, 24 hours later I'm still trying to work out exactly how I feel about it. Watched Thirst for the first time yesterday and enjoyed it. I always enjoy Chan-wook Park's movies mind you, there's always a really odd combination of laughs and sadism. A nice wee spin on the vampire romance, and amidst all the bloodshed I found it really touching.

Re: Newbies!

Hi all! New to the forum, although been going to the Glasgow festival the last few years. My name's Keith, I'm 30 and play in a band (which despite a couple of releases hasn't exactly been a moneyspinner). Was a games QA Tester for 3 years until I left that to go back to college to see if I could ge...
