That's where I'm staying. But, how did you manage to get it for £29.00 both nights? I got that for Friday but it was over £100 for Saturday.

Re: Where Is Everyone Sitting?

I just downloaded the seating plan from the Empire web site and I noticed that a lot of the seats in the middle back block are marked not for sale.

Is this reserved seating for celebrities or something?

Re: Where Is Everyone Sitting?

I'm in GG20 which will make a change. I've sat in Q37'ish other years. It is the 3rd visit for me and is now going to be far more of a social occasion because I know lots of people now.

I am that brave friend of Q35 & Q36 in Q37. By sheer coincidence a Twitter friend is in Q38. Q is the row to be in!

Re: films we just saw

Just watched Kaboom. Though some people obviously don't get it, I thought it was outstanding. Donnie Darko is the obvious comparison but there are elements of Lynch and even Judd Apatow. The film begs to be watched in HD but I could only find the blu-ray in France. It is the original English version...

Re: what dvds are we buying?

Order received, be popping to HMV after work :) You won't be disappointed. That made me wonder is there any other people out there who haven't seen a classic horror film or films for some reason. I still haven't seen Nightmare on Elm St. Though I now have the blu-ray and will be watching it this we...

Re: what dvds are we buying?

Haven't purchased any dvds bt finally got round to having sky installed in my flat, basically been recording 3/4 movies a night off the horror channel. A world of horror B-Movies at the touch of a button, bliss!! Also, never really been an Argento fan bt after watching Demons on horror channel I'm ...

Shrine i thought was nicely done lots of mystery about it even at the end not all questions were answered fully and thats something i really dig. Trick r treat is just great fun and some awsome practical effects That's coincide...

Re: what dvds are we buying?

Thanks to all for mentioning CEX. I didn't know this place existed never mind that there are 3 stores local to me. Swapped some stuff I had duplicated on DVD and Blu. Got Evil Dead 2 and Baise Moi (does that count as a horror film?) amongst others. They had Hostel 2 on blu for £4.00 but had somehow ...

I've just started reading Grant Morrison's Supergods but the new Aberystwyth book has just arrived so everything gets put aside until I've finished that.

Re: films we just saw

I really don't like 3D films. Going to see Harry Potter in 2D tonight. I wear glasses, so wearing another pair on top is very uncomfortable. Even if that was not the case, I find 3D distracts from the film; you are watching effects not the movie itself. Anyway, watched Grotesque on blu-ray last nigh...

Re: films we just saw

Just watched the Korean thriller: "The Man from Nowhere". Not a horror film but a pretty cool all the same. Watched Sharktopus before it.

I found myself liking it despite having no idea why it was made. (The film, I mean, not the shark-octopus hybrid.)

Re: Your reactions to new films

Remember that disclaimer that went out on the front of the US DVD release something about and "intense feeling of dread"? That nailed it for me. I felt so drawn in and so uptight at the same time and loved the experience in that "wrong" way that fellow horror fiends enjoy so muc...
