Re: Rabbit in Red Lounge

Assuming they take payment via Paypal, you would be covered by Paypal's security during checkout so it's only any details you log with Rabbit in Red that are at risk.

Have you tried emailing them to ask?

Private Ticket Sales

This sub-forum has been set up to allow individuals to advertise their unwanted tickets for sale. To save people clicking multiple links it would really help to format the post title with something descriptive, e.g Weekend Pass - Seat H99 or 2 x Saturday Day Pass - Seats M98 & M99 Please note that a...

Re: Predictions and hopes for Frightfest 2019

Could 3 From Hell be a possibility? Certainly the sort of higher profile movie that would be a good opener/closer or the Sat night movie. Getting Zombie, Sherri, Bill and Sid over would be the icing on the cake. It's been announced for a September release, so an August premiere would work quite wel...

Rabid - A remake of Cronenberg's classic body horror, helmed by the Soska sisters. It's been 7 years since American Mary, and this has been getting a lot of hype from Frightfest, including previews and news of its production. Paul even mentioned at Glasgow that it wasn't quite ready for that. I exp...

Crawl - Alexandre Aja's take on the killer alligator film, with Kaya Scodelario battling the hungry reptiles in a flooding house. Not to be confused with the Australian film of the same name that played Frightfest Glasgow a few years ago.
Slated for a 23rd August release so fits in perfectly.

Laugier needs another idea than just taking a couple of actresses and punching them in the head for 9 minutes How about taking a couple of actresses and punching them in the head for 10 minutes? should have read 90 minutes obviously! Same joke applies though; Laugier's new idea after punching...

The trouble with having audience voting is that the audience won't have seen every film, whereas people on the organising team have.
I can't say for sure, but I would put money on not one of the organising team having seen every film.

Re: Frightfest Awards

I've never understood the Total Film 'Awards' as they seem to be published almost as soon as the festival is over and there is no information on how the films are nominated and voted into their respective winning positions. Difficult, I think, for FF to do their own awards as they'd have to appoint ...

Nice work on collating the votes.

You know there's a poll function on the forum? Maybe might have been easier to post a poll so people could just poke buttons instead of typing.

Re: Upgrade

I dont think it should have been in a HORROR film festival. It's not a horror film festival, it's 'The Dark Heart of Cinema' which can encompass many things and give the programmers some leeway when it comes to selecting films. Dark themes and horror adjacency make for a more entertaining mix IMO. ...
