Re: Sci-Fi Comic Kickstarter for your perusal...
A quick update :). The Kickstarter was funded, and we have a newsletter with more comic news, and a section on books, films, music and games at the end that people might be interested in :). Check out the first newsletter and sign up if it is the kind of thing you might be interested in :). https://...

Re: From the beginning
Lucky to have a mate that somehow managed to get into the Scala Cinema when it was still there, and introduced me to Frightfest in 2001 for Brotherhood of the Wolf and Battle Royale! Then either a few films every year or weekend tickets apart from 2015 that we couldn't attend... and we unfortunately...

Sci-Fi Comic Kickstarter for your perusal...
Hi folks, As a long time Frightfester, I thought perhaps a few people might be into this :). I've been working on a Sci-Fi comic, and the Kickstarter launched a few days ago... it has a couple of twenty-somethings, trying to survive on a government back-to-work scheme, where all the good jobs are ta...

Re: Film4 FrightFest 2015 news/update
Ah... So is there going to be a Sleepy Queue with no tickets, or just no Sleepy Queue this year? Unfortunately this will be the first year that I can't make any of the films since 2001... so not going to effect me anyway, but enquiring for more info for others :(. Just clicked the ticket link... whi...

Rescoring Night Of The Living Dead
Hi all, A group of electronic-musonauts (that word turned out not as well as I'd hoped) have been talking about sorting out a rescore to NOTLD for a while, and finally got around to generating a few parts recently. We've cut the rescore to a library of congress version of NOTLD (it was open-sourced ...

Frightfest Trailers
Hi folks. Sorry this is a bit late, I've sorted this out for the day of the ticket release in the past, but haven't managed it this year. I have put all the trailers up for the main screen that I could find on a single page so people don't have to tool around to get them. With so many films across t...

Playing With Fear - A Horror Game Documentary
Hi all, I've been following this for a week or so and decided to put some cash behind it. It is a kickstarter to create a documentary covering all the horror games that I loved growing up and some indie stuff that I didn't realise even existed :). The guys that are running it will be talking to the ...

Re: Random Weekend Thoughts...
I've had a few weeks to mull over the festival, and have to say it was pretty incredible. The overall quality of the films this year was really good, with a few films I'd consider outstanding. Thanks to Alan and co for sorting it out again :). It remains one of my highlights of the year. Film highli...

Re: Frankenstein's Army
No idea where you're getting this from. Nothing jonbly saw would require a cut , and everything had a slapstick comedy feel anyway. It's the realistic stuff that gets cut. You can show a relatively realistic brain plus brain stem being ripped out from someone's skull, graphic shots of skulls being ...

Re: Frankenstein's Army
Once the monster reveal occurred, this film was pretty much constant sound and fury for the remainder and with the well realised weaponised man-machines gave an ever present threat that felt implacable. Is this film really going to be allowed uncut past the censors, its pretty brutal and gory, it fe...
