Re: Sin City 2

Bought a Saturday day pass in large part because this was supposed to be showing - I love the graphic novels - so was a bit peed off when they switched it to Thursday and I couldn't make it ... sounds like I haven't missed much, though ...?

Re: Frightfest's worst movie ever?

I missed Shockwave and Snoop Dogg, so it's still Bubba's Chilli Parlour for me. I brought a friend who was a Frightfest virgin and I had to take her out of the film and buy her a G&T to placate her after I'd bigged up Frightfest so much to her beforehand!

Re: Thoughts on FrightFest @ Vue so far..

I came up for a few films during the day today and thought certain parts of the venue are an improvement on the Empire: the bar area feels more spacious and the flow of people is better thanks to the escalator layout. At the Empire it could be a nightmare trying to jostle your way through the crowd ...

Re: The Harvest

Think I stand alone here but I wasn't that impressed. It was very well made but oh-so-predictable. The film's title is a giveaway in itself and the other major twist was very clearly signposted ... 6/10.

Re: How Film4 FrightFest will work in 2014

Yay! I have a day pass for Saturday. I have no idea which screen it's in, and I'm certain it's not an aisle seat. In fact, I have no idea where I'll be sitting. But I'm cool with that. For me, that's huge personal progress  Big thanks to Ian and the gang for sorting things out with Vue. I had a...

Re: How Film4 FrightFest will work in 2014

Empire Screen 1 had ~1,300 seats, I believe. Totting up the three screens at Vue, I think there are ~1,000 seats in total. So I can't answer the question precisely, but bearing in mind they'll have needed to keep some seats back for single ticket sales, my guess is that the event reduced by a substa...

Re: How Film4 FrightFest will work in 2014

Make some buddies at the festival or on here maybe? I'm sure I won't be the only happy approachable dude at FF this year. I met a couple of cool people either side of me in the queue this morning and I only rolled up at about 9.50am. Thanks, Grim, I appreciate I'm being a bit melodramatic ... :) bu...

Re: How Film4 FrightFest will work in 2014

Just to check (and I really should've checked this before I actually bought a ticket...) the screen no./sponsors are the following right? Film4 - Screen 5 Arrow - Screen 6 Horror Channel - Screen 7 I could only find one post that said the mentioned the screen numbers and sponsor names together. Yup...

Re: How Film4 FrightFest will work in 2014

So, as other people have said, it's looking more and more likely that the sleepy queue will be the only reliable way to go for 2015 onwards. Well that's just great - there's absolutely no way I'll be queuing overnight, not least because nobody else I know ever wants to come to Frightfest for more th...

Re: We are taking questions about FrightFest 2014

Will I be able to choose my seat from anywhere in my chosen auditorium? I really hate the way festival passes are allocated to certain blocks of seats at the Empire. Thanks!
