Re: HOW TO WATCH

If you just have a PC then you can watch the films through a browser So just go to a website and watch via there, like twitch or the youtubes? I can do that! Thanks for the help! You’ve got it. You’ll need to select your films on the website before it’ll let you watch them but all this is detailed ...

Re: HOW TO WATCH

Despite being surgically attached to my computer all day, I'm a bit of a luddite when it comes to technology. Ill have to watch FFH on my PC, but don't understand how, even with the guide. Is there a programme I have to download? Thanks! Well we’ve all been through it once now so can say it’s reaso...

Re: HOW TO WATCH

Just for the record, you can watch on a Firestick if you do it via a browser app. I just viewed the Eventive test stream with the Silk Browser. Sure, it’s a bit of a faff typing in the url but it’ll get you there :)

Re: HOW TO WATCH

I've had a look at what browsers are supported and Microsoft Edge isn't featured. Is this likely to cause an issue? Quite likely. Microsoft has a track record of releasing browsers incompatible with established standards and requiring special code to do what every other browser does just fine (ther...

Found a compatibility page with a test stream to allow testing of mirroring/console browsers - https://watch.eventive.org/account/play ... 0029055ca8
You need to enter an email address if you're not already registered. Hope this is of use!
That’s really handy- nice spot! 8)

Yeah, think your only option there would be if the Eventive website plays nice with the PS browser.

Re: HOW TO WATCH

Sorry cm- I meant changing the display resolution options on your laptop so it outputs correctly on your tv... not resorting to watching on your laptop (assuming this is what you thought I meant! :) )

Re: HOW TO WATCH

It doesn’t help that Apple has serious branding problems with their TV products; there’s the TV box (Apple TV), the app (Apple TV) and the streaming service (Apple TV+) :s You have the Apple TV app on your tv and, as you correctly surmised, cannot watch via that. Instead you’d need to install the Ev...

Re: HOW TO WATCH

I’m in the same situation. The Eventive site itself doesn’t seem to mention Firestick app support, only Apple TV, Roku and Android TV (https://eventive.org/virtual). Whilst it looks like you can sideload Android TV apps onto a Firestick, I don’t imagine this is what Eventive had in mind. Hopefully, ...

Re: Geo-locked Frightfest

The website for Eventive (who it seems are providing the streaming service for the festival) claims “Advanced VPN and proxy blocking”. Also a quick check on another film festival using them suggests disabling your VPN in its troubleshooting section so it sounds like using a VPN could be... problemat...

Re: FrightFest August

Obviously I don't have clue one about the cost of putting on FF or its turnover so I apologise if this is a dumb question but... does a 50% drop in ticket sales for the October event still make this a worthwhile (i.e. profitable) endeavour? (You don't have a track record of being the kind of folks t...

Frightfest Halloween date

Not sure if this has always been the case but, for as long as I've been going to the FF Halloween event, it has been held *before* Halloween. Just seems a bit weird to hold it afterwards for this year. Also, there's the added frustration that we've all had to decide between this or fireworks display...
