Re: Pre FF Drinks Gathering! (Captains Cabain.) Pheonix & Co
I got to the Cabin about 5pm last year. Had time to neck a swift pint, but people were all then getting ready to move on so not much time to socialise. Once at the Empire though everyone knocks about in the foyer for quite a while before the film and you can buy beer and wine at the bar there so it'...
Re: Tesco
If you don't know your way around London too well this is actually more important to know than you might imagine when you actually get there. Spent half my bloody time in between films getting lost trying to find Tesco's last year. Only realised on the last day I could just head right and go straigh...

Re: sleepy queue
Just out of curiosity, what time do they usually start the sleepy queue film? Obviously not until everyone has brought their tickets, but what times does that usually tend to be? Just so I have a rough time of when I will be getting the train back.

Re: sleepy queue
Thanks for the heads up on the PCC all nighter. Gonna give that a go, maybe as others have said, leave before Predator to get in the queue. I'm not too bothered about what seat I end up with though so I guess I'll just see how it goes.

Re: Going it Alone
If I see you around mate, I'll say hello and ask you what you thought of Insidious 2 or whatever. What will you be wearing so I know its you? Its a funny one the old socialising- I've always found FFers to be nice people, but the pace of the festival makes it difficult to have a chat. I will likely...

Re: Going it Alone
Thanks for the words of wisdom. For the most part I am indeed grateful for the time away from the "real world" so to speak, and it's certainly about the films more than anything. I saw every film on the main screen bar a couple which I skipped for Discovery screenings instead, and intend t...

Going it Alone
This year will be my second year at FrightFest, and I will be going alone for the second year. Last year was fantastic, but I spent most of the time sitting/standing back and observing rather than really mucking in. This year I'd like to hopefully reach out and make acquaintances with more folks, so...

In such case this will likely be what I end up doing.sherbetbizarre wrote:Yes and yes. No-one who has queued in the past has been turned away.

Re: Newbies!
This will be my second year attending FrightFest, but my first year in the Sleepy Queue. I was supposed to be having a friend come along too, but it's now likely that he won't be able to get the time off work to come down for the queue. I'm now having serious doubts about whether I should queue alo...
