Re: The Babadook

Yeah it was a letdown, I expected a lot more from this. I wanted bigger moments and a better ending, but I get where it was going.

Re: Starry Eyes

I'm glad that quite a few people seem to be on the same page with this one. It was a really great concept, it just didn't really reach it's full potential. There was too much time spent with her being ill and staying in doors.

Re: Open Windows

I really didn't like it, it gave me a headache. I did think it was clever in terms of how relevant it was, with the younger generation having so much technology today that they can't concentrate on one specific thing and get easily bored.

Re: Frightfest's worst movie ever?

I'm glad How To Survive A Zombie Hollocaust has been mentioned in this thread. That's the second worst from this year, the worst being Shockwave Darkside.

I just cackled at this, how true.

It was actually a really good concept, just poorly executed.

Re: The Harvest

I liked it in the same way I liked The Hypnotist, it was good to have a drama with horror elements. I do agree with the TV Movie comparisons. The plot actually reminded me of something you would have got it in Desperate Housewives as a 'mystery of the season'.

Re: Seating

I have N23 - N21 in the Film Four screen. I'm glad I got the tickets that I wanted. A back aisle seat is all I wanted!

Re: films we just saw

American Horror Story is incredible and the best out of the horror television shows. I appreciate Murder House for it's comedy and Asylum for the story. Jessica Lange is incredible and really makes the show. I saw Insidious Chapter 2 last night and it was very disappointing but I expected it to be f...

Re: Missionary

I completely agree, it was wasted on not exploring the religious side and just being about the individual. I really like cult/religion films so I was let down by this. I saw a comment on here earlier where someone said it was a bit like something out of Desperate Housewives? I completely know what t...

Re: Shouting At People Regarding Phones During Movies

Me and my friend hated the shouting, it made us feel so uncomfortable. At one point, someone said it in our direction and loads of people looked at us, even though we hadn't got our phone out. I wondered if it was someone infront as they had briefly got it out for two seconds. The worst one I saw wa...

Re: We Are What We Are

Interesting comments regarding the original and I actually wanted to see it but now I might not bother. I really like Julia Garner, having seen her in quite a few independent cult films in the last year and that terrible sequel to the Last Exorcism. It was quite slow but it really paid off so well, ...

Re: You're Next

I think it was the best film of the festival by far. Sharni has come a long way from her beginnings and I was extremely impressed. It had a good atmosphere, tension, characters and the right use of comedy when it was appropriate. It was really clever and I haven't willed on a last girl so much in ye...

Re: Hammer of the Gods

I desperately wanted to get a Discovery ticket to replace this but they were sold out by the time I got to the desk. This had the most empty seats and the most amount of people sleeping, I could hear someone snoaring in a deep sleep. I completely get Frightfest not showing back to back straight horr...
