Re: Vue West 12 vs Vue West End

I was firstly impressed on how close the tube station was to the vue, literally just across the road. On approaching it however I thought 'oh dear the cinema is in a shopping centre' but as we were heading up the escalator my fears turned to joy as I couldn't believe how much space there was. All th...

Re: Beyond the Gates

I really enjoyed the retro feel to it and knew it wasn't going to take itself too seriously. Seemed to be a lot crammed into the last 20 minutes or so after a relatively slow build. *SPOILER ALERT* I couldn't help but think that after all that the characters had gone through, all that torture of kil...

Despite it's obvious similarities to straw dogs and eden lake, I really enjoyed this film. Sure it got a bit too black comedyesque near the end with the constant planting of trees to mark the body count and I thought it perhaps went on a bit longer than it should've done. However great performances ...

Re: Abbatoir

As others have mentioned I was unsure when this film was set, as it had a 50's theme to it to begin with. Also found it a little bit like silent hill meets house on haunted hill but it didn't really work for me. It started quite promising but then went off on a odd tangent. The plot left me scratchi...

Re: Single tickets

Not the best experience so far. I expected the server to be slow but tried ordering 2 tickets to the offensive and the screen just kept coming up saying 'payment timed out please try again '. I did it successfully on my phone but after checking my emails, they've charged me twice (4 tickets). I also...

Re: Hellions

This was our red herring film of the day. It started off very promising but just fell apart and it felt like we were watching a badly edited music video towards the end. Really liked the lead character but it just didn't know what sort of genre it wanted to be. The soundtrack also got very tiresome....

Re: The Last Showing

I really wanted to end our 4th FF on a high note, but unfortunately it wasn't to be with this film. I just didn't feel any sympathy towards the main character and his gf was just an unbelievably annoying cow which I just wanted to shake viciously. Even Robert England's performance couldn't save this...

Wrong Turn 6

If the sound messes up on a film that you're enjoying, it would be seen as annoying. However when the sound messes up on a film that you're not enjoying it is called the "highlight". Unfortunately we were very unlucky and they managed to restart the film without any further incidents. To be honest, ...

Re: Thoughts on FrightFest @ Vue so far..

Our 4th FF experience didn't have the best of starts on our arrival yesterday (fri) due to the aforementioned ticket machines not working. There were also a lot of confusion as to where to queue up, as nobody seemed to be sure which of the the 4 queues were for what. We were informed to join one at ...

Re: Allocating Discovery Screen Tickets

Hi there. Me and my friend were also very disappointed that we didn't get the chance to see any of the discovery screen films this year, despite having a day pass. We arrived at 9:30 and granted, the queue was a lot bigger than it was the same time last year, so things weren't looking great. As we e...

Re: R.I.P.D

I actually fell asleep halfway through this film and my friend didn't realise due to my 3d glasses hiding my eyes ! I only woke up when the audience gave a bit of an over the top round of applause at the end. Friend said that I didn't miss anything. Bit confused this was even on at FF tbh. As others...
