Re: Air Conditioning
It seems that everyone at the front of the Arrow Screen complained about it being cold whereas everyone at the back of the Arrow screen (where I was) complained about it getting too hot. As Paul said, you can’t please everyone but at least the people at the front can put on an additional layer of cl...
Re: Top 5

Actually, on second look, it looks like it might be listed as row 0 (zero).

Re: FrightFest 2018
Does anyone else have a discrepancy between the seats that you picked (which also show on the tickets) vs the seat numbers that are listed in your NuTickets account summary? I picked seats in row M and all my tickets say row M on them but the account summary page lists them all in row O (which doesn...

Re: Overall Thoughts
Very well said, Ian. FrightFest has always been about a wide range of genre films so it totally baffles me that people are suddenly moaning about it. Why is The Villainess any less worthy than a previous FrightFest movie like Oldboy. Both clearly fall under the 'genre' label, as do all the horror co...

Re: Overall Thoughts
Couldn't agree more. The atmosphere this year was a definite return to the old, awesome FrightFest experience rather than the fractured, somewhat more soulless experience of the last few years (which was an inevitable side effect of being split across several multiplex screens). Personally I didn't ...

Re: A big thank you
I'd like to echo the HUGE thanks to Paul, Alan, Ian and Greg and the huge support team and cinema staff that delivered quite possibly the best line-up ever at FrightFest this year in literally the best setting possible and in such a faultless manner. This year, maybe thanks to being back at The Empi...

Re: Top Five FF17 Films
Honestly, the consistently high quality of the films made it pretty much impossible to narrow my list down to a Top 5 so I'm breaking the rules and going with a top 8 (this was maybe the best FrightFest line-up ever and that is really saying something): 68 Kill Cold Hell Killing Ground Double Date T...

It Follows, Spring and Kristy were all awesome. Cub was pretty good. The Town That Dreaded Sundown was awful.

Re: Lacking in horror this year?
I think it's fair to say that FrightFest is more of a 'genre' festival rather than straight 'horror' one. I, for one, am very pleased that it incorporates such a wide cross section of movies. Otherwise it would likely mean diluting the quality of the festival's overall content and risk being very re...

Re: Lemon Tree Passage
I actually really enjoyed this movie but a couple of things that I didn't understand prevented me from feeling entirely satisfied with it. 1) If the ghost was after the older brother, why did she murder a bunch of innocent tourists/locals? 2) Why did the bodies keep disappearing (the fat guy in the ...
