Re: Accommodation over the weekend

I've used the LSE High Holborn accommodation before - it's in a good location, around 10-15 minute walk from Leicester Square and you'll always notice Frightfest contingent there. Just don't expect much from the room or the cleanliness of the toilets.

Re: FrightFest ticketing 2015

For me the frustration was more that after the wait I'd selected my tickets and then lost them (repeatedly, due to the system). They felt like they were mine! I accept that I'll have to wait in line for tickets, but felt really let down that the system failed me once I'd done my required waiting. Y...

Re: FrightFest ticketing 2015

Here's my experience of the ticketing situation. I speculatively clicked the link to get tickets about 20 mins early, around 11:40ish to see if it would help with the queue. Once it hit 12:00 it refreshed to a static page and I realised it wasn't a good idea so decided to refresh and start queueing ...

Re: Shockwave Darkside 3D

I really would love to hear from the Frightfest team why they chose this for the main screen. Me too. I feel sorry for those absolutely new to FrightFest and purchased a single ticket to watch this movie. Movies like this take the shine off the event. I sincerely hope the director/writer never make...

Re: How Film4 FrightFest will work in 2014

Anyway, my personal two cents: it's probably time to get rid of single movie tickets and just go with day/weekend passes? After all, they usually sell out in a few days and it's not like you can go to Glastonbury and spend £10 just to see one band mid-afternoon. The previous years was a bit frustra...

Re: How Film4 FrightFest will work in 2014

I had the same dramas, 30min MOBILE call (Jeez, that's gonna hurt!) to VUE customer services followed by a 45min ride into town to hand-purchase a weekend pass. Consider myself v.lucky to be able to get into town and to have finally gotten get a pass, though it is in the small screen and close to t...

Re: How Film4 FrightFest will work in 2014

I hope the contract with Vue is only one year :-) Seriously, I think the immediate impact of today's debacle is that the 2015 sleepy queue is going to be double, treble in size. No-one will have any confidence in the Vue booking system after today and it's going to mean that turning up in person is...

Re: How Film4 FrightFest will work in 2014

The problem definitely lies with the Vue infrastructure and any mis-guided promises that the middle-management may have made to the FF guys. That's my view anyway... Definitely. Why on earth would you put a limit on value of orders? Whoever managed this on Vue's side of things should have been awar...

No.

Screen 5 is Film4, Screen 6 is Arrow Films, Screen 7 is Horror Channel.

Screen 6 is the smallest, Screen 5 and 7 are pretty much the same.

Re: How Film4 FrightFest will work in 2014

It's a little hard to fathom quite how this has happened. Last year I booked at weekend pass no problem at all - I think it's generally accepted that you need to queue or be prompt on the web or phone - but as long as you do that, you can get a ticket. Has there been a dramatic increase in demand t...

Re: How Film4 FrightFest will work in 2014

After 4 and half hours I finally have my ticket(s), purchased online! Apparently, you can only purchase a single weekend pass online at a time. Every few mins available seats come and go in screen 7, they are usually in pairs - so usually get rejected by the payment process. I saw 4 seats in one row...

Re: How Film4 FrightFest will work in 2014

I've been trying since 12 and still haven't been able to purchase any seats. After managing to be able to pick seats, I get payment declined error for 5 different cards, with some being debit and some being credit cards. Each time I settled for worse and worse seats but still couldn't purchase any a...
