Buying two tickets

Hi, This year, I need to buy a Festival Pass for myself and for a friend of mine. How does this work once we're at the event as, presumably, both will be in my name? Also, how will this affect buying Discovery screen tickets i.e. will my friend be able to book his own, or will I have do book them bo...

Re: Discovery Screen Tickets

With all the trouble in booking tickets last Sat, I've just realised that I've double booked myself in one time slot. If anyone would like a ticket for Ruin Me, please pm me. The ticket date/time is Sat at 6.30pm. First come first served.

Re: Discovery Screen Tickets

What films are you trying to get? veronica and 3rd night on the monday x 2 for each Sorry, all the pass holder seats for these films are gone. If the seats that are available for sale are still unsold before the screening we will look to release them to pass holders if possible. Just be aware that ...

Re: Discovery Screen Tickets

I found it nightmarish this year. It's taken me an hour and 40 minutes and I've not been able to get tickets for what are two must see films for me: Fashionista and Cold Hell. ~Both of these films are in a tiny screen and I am curious as to why Fashionista has been relegated to the smallest screen o...

Re: Food

Just behind the Empire is Chinatown. it's well worth checking out the Chinese cafe's as they often do bowls of pork/duck and noodle soup, with spring onion and bak choy. These used to cost around £6; the portions are large and filling. There are also a number of take out buffets, which cost more but...

Re: To Trailer or not?

I tend to view trailers as I suffer with chronic motion sickness when watching films made with hand held cameras, those which are found footage etc. Some, e.g VHS, are totally unwatchable for me. Watching the trailers allows me to quickly identify those films I need to avoid. That said, the more obl...

Re: Discovery screen 'nepotism'.

Last year, Ian ran a First Blood day which showed films from new and upcoming directors. Some of the films shown were terrific and, after speaking with Ian, I understood that the hope/intention was to have a similar day this year. Problem, is I'm not at all certain which (if any) of the days is show...

I think it's quite an eclectic mix.

I'm looking forward to Fashionista.

Potential IP address problem booking Discovery Screen tickets this Sat.

Morning all, On Sat I'll be booking Discovery Screen tickets for myself and a friend who is attending a family event that day. These are films we wish to watch together. I have the correct codes etc., but I'm concerned that the booking system might flag up the fact that his Festival Pass was bought ...

Re: Food Feedback

There is a super Chinese café behind the Vue/Empire cinemas. It's closer to the Empire end of the street. You can get a huge bowl of freshly made noodle soup with either tofu, barbeque pork or chicken (£5.90 last year - it's a compete meal), they also do a variety of steamed buns etc. As you walk fr...

Re: Discovery screen tickets

All went very smoothly and I managed to miss only one of my first choices, so well happy :D

I've printed my Discovery Screen tickets off and there are 4 to a page. Do we need to cut these into individual strips for each individual film?

Cheers :)

Good idea
