Re: 2019 Ticket info.

Hi Ian, do you know if it's possible to pay by Debit Card this year? I seem to remember having issues paying last year and ended up having to pay on a friends credit card. Cheers.

Re: Top Five FF17 Films

My top 5: Better Watch Out Tragedy Girls 68 Kill Victory Crowley Still/Born The first 3 pick themselves, after that it's just a much of muchness really. Victor Crowley gets the nod for being great fun with a FF crowd and the fantastic Intro and Q&A with Adam Green. Still/Born was the only film o...

Re: Overall Thoughts

Despite what I felt was a fairly lacklustre lineup, this was my favourite FrightFest to date. It's the first time I'd been able to do the weekend properly due to living closer but also the beautiful weather really helped as it meant you could take proper breaks between films instead of being stuck i...

Re: Accommodation

High Holborn is definitely doable and you don't have to miss the last film. The N207 bus from Shepherds Bush Green is every 5-10 minutes and is a 20 minutes ride to Holborn area.

Re: Do we have dates for Glasgow 2016 yet?

It'll almost certainly be Fri 26th and Sat 27th Feb.

http://visitgff.glasgowfilm.org/ - GFF is running from 17th - 28th. Frightfest is always on the last Fri/Sat of the festival.

Re: Halloween All-Dayer/Nighter 2015

Wishful thinking on my part, but I’d love to see Attack on Titan parts 1 and 2 at the all (day?)nighter as it looks completely batshit. Part 2 will have been released in Japan by then, but I’ve no idea what the plans for a UK release are... probably a quiet screening at the PCC and then straight to ...

Re: Is Frightfest becoming 'trendy'?

I noticed a refreshing lack of found footage this year too. Could it be that it’s finally dying a death?! I think the big studios will probably persevere with it for a bit longer but it seems the indy filmmakers, who have always been the trendsetters, have already moved on.

Re: My top and bottom 3

Top 3 The Hallow – I loved this, easily the highlight of the festival for me. Anything particularly Del Toro-y is right up my street, so a dark, folky, fairytale had me sold from the off and I was pleased it lived up to my lofty expectations. It had its flaws, the main characters weren’t particularl...

Re: Food Feedback

A couple of other recommendations for the rest of the weekend: http://benitos-hat.com/menu/ - Mexican! Benito’s Hat works the same as Tortilla/Chipotle – build your own burrito. A nice and easy grab and go option that is only a 5 minute walk from Vue. http://www.pepe-food.com/ - Pizza & Pasta! I...

Re: Food Feedback

It's National Burger Day tomorrow! As such, loads of places in London are offering 20% off their food menu so if anyone is looking for pre FF eats - have a look here http://nationalburgerday.co.uk/ Personally I'd recommend a visit to Honest Burger in Soho, they're incredible. http://nationalburgerda...

Re: Films for Frightfest August 2015

I don't know, maybe - the micro budget bit is a bit off-putting, but it seems to be getting good reviews so it might be the one to go for. Irritatingly though, I can't seem to find anything about Night Fare, so I don't know whether that's going to be one to miss or a highlight of the fest. I've hea...

I'm willing to give Hellions ago purely on the good faith the director has stored up with me from Pontypool.

Re: Films for Frightfest August 2015

I’ve resolved some of these now, I think…! Going for Pod & The Rotten Link on Friday and stumping up some extra £££ to get a Single ticket in Arrow for Nina Forever first thing in the morning, which means I can then see Howl while Nina is on in the HC screen. Still not sure what to do Saturday a...

Re: Films for Frightfest August 2015

Looking for some advice/recommendations please all! I’ve pretty much settled on my ideal lineup (Disco tickets pending…) but I’ve got a few spots where I’m torn on what to see: Friday Morning Main: Landmine Goes Click & The Diabolical Or Disco: Pod and 1 of Wind Walkers/The Rotten Link/Afterdeat...

Re: Tube Strike Planned

If you want to keep the cost down, I live out Uxbridge way and could split an Uber with you? I'm not sure of my exact plans yet as I also have the option to crash at a friends who lives out near Stratford. If you do end up commuting back to Uxbridge, I would be more than happy to split an Uber with...
