Re: 2022 Ticket prices

Thanks Ian - pass all sorted as of yesterday. Do we have a date/time for the Discovery Screen tickets this year? I made such a mess of it last year by not checking and doublechecking I'd like to get it in the diary. Hi Mrs E, FWY - re. Disco tickets. You may have seen this already... 'Festival pass...

Re: 2021 films

I'm very behind but here's the rest so far. Dawn Breaks - loved this. Hard to say too much without it being a spoiler but would definitely watch this again. Last thing Mary saw - this turned out to be much better than I thought it might be from the review in the programme. It could have been the usu...

Re: 2021 films

I thought Demonic was OK. It was a bit of a different take on demonic possession. I don't think I'd watch it again though. The Kindred had some good points but I didn't understand why the 'father' didn't report his brother to the police in the first place The Show I thought was an interesting concep...

Re: Ghost Killers vs Bloody Mary

This needed to be about 15 - 20 minutes shorter, can't quite decide what shouldnt be there but it was just too long. Shame because it had some fun ideas and a likeable cast.

Re: Why Won't You Just Die?

Hard to say much without spoilers. The use of flashbacks prevents it becoming claustrophobic and there were many twists and turns in the story. This was the highlight of Saturday for me.

Re: Witches In The Woods

It could have done with a bit more background on the witchcraft history. More could have been done with the hunter character too.
Spoiler:
Possibly the most annoying final girl in this year's Frightfest.

Re: Spiral

I too was confused as to where the message came from. By the end I assumed the satanists did it but why? Plenty of people turned out for the birthday party so the manipulation of hate hadn't worked that well and they would have got closer to their proposed victim by simply continuing to be friendly ...

Re: Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark

I agree, the victims aside from Harold, didnt seem to have done enough 'wrong' to deserve the punishment. The effects were good and I'd give a sequel a try.

Re: Knives and Skin

I wanted to like this. The premise was interesting and the sci-fi type elements at the outset were intriguing but I ended up not feeling anything for any of the characters and the central mystery wasnt enough to keep me involved. TBF I left after just over an hour as I had lost the will to go on so ...
