Re: Tragedy Girls

TG got a real trailer. On one hand: yeach, the movie is going mainstream.

On the other hand: they've spoiled all the best jokes. If you haven't seen it but you're planning to, don't watch the trailer.

Re: Tragedy Girls

He never got away with a crime because somebody walked in on him but didn't notice him chopping somebody up. That was really funny. It huge laugh from the audience and I m sure it was the filmmakers intention. My memories of Hannibal are hazy. I stopped watching two years ago when it ended. I remem...

Re: Best and worst film?

Best: Fanged Up, Dead Shack, Tragedy Girls I don't think I saw anything bad at FF. They were all creative and had no obvious CGI which a major turn off for me, especially in horror. Least good: Imitation Girl-I wanted to let this one go. The crew is Iranian. Maybe I just cannot see past the cultural...

Re: Mindhack

Today I'm too old and cynical, but I feel like the 15 years old me would have gone crazy for this. I wanted to post the same thing. The 15 year old me who loved Pi, Space Odyssey, Zeling, Moulin Rouge, Mulholland Drive simply because they were different and weird would have loved this. But since th...

Re: Psychopaths

I thought it was perfect for a late night. What would you rather watch round midnight, the complex plot of Villainess? The plot is easy to follow, on the night a killer is executed the city goes crazy and blood thirsty and it's explained through narration If you go channel surfing you'll easily find...

Re: Fanged Up

I will defend this one I went into this without expectations. I didn't know anything about the people behind making it. And I thought it was one of the best of the festival. I liked it more than Victor Crowley, which this is the closest to-a gory farce without any aspirations to be deep or sincere l...

Re: Tragedy Girls

I don't know what you folks are complaining about. This was blast to watch. I have to admit that I watched 2.5 seasons of Hannibal so my threshold for the whole things-are-too-easy-for -the-killer and all-the-good-guys-are-idiots is really high. The only thing I didn't like was the teacher lecturing...

Re: Top Five FF17 Films

I was a volunteer at Fright Fest so I missed large chunks of it. It seemed every time I asked someone what their favorite film was. they talked about something I didn't see. I missed 68 kill, Double Date, Lowlife. The best (in no particular order): Fanged Up (this one doesn't get any love and I don'...
