Re: FrightFest 2021
We're still shielding for medical reasons so not going to be able to make it to Leicester Square which I'm gutted about. I will however do the digital version; when are the tickets going on sale and will the films be the same?

Re: FrightFest has a new home for 2016
I've gotta admit that the prospect of having to get 2 night busses home from Shepherds Bush after each night didn't fill me with much joy so I wasn't that pleased about the move. Looks like the night tubes are gonna be in place by the August bank holiday though http://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/dest...

Re: Big Love To Alan, Ian, Greg & Paul But Seriously ....
I'm quite surprised by this thread, It's my 12th Frightfest and I thought this was a strong year! It's the nature of the beast that there will be a few stinkers, I hated Under the Bed but the people sitting next to me loved it. I dodged a few bullets by going to the Discovery screen instead of After...

Re: Top 5 films
Couldn't limit myself to five films, such a good line up this year: 1. American Mary - just the thing to wake us up on a Monday morning, I'm guessing there'll be a bit of a run on Dead Hooker In A Trunk on the strength of this 2. Grabbers 3. Dead Sushi 4. Paura 3D 5. VHS 6. Sleep Tight 7. Chained 8....

Weekend pass for sale
Due to a friend becoming ill I just found out that we have a single weekend pass for sale. I figured I'd put it up on the forum first and then if I don't get any takers move over to Twitter. We're selling it for face value at £160 and it's in row L (can't remember the number at the mo but it's a bit...

Re: Fright Night - 3D
Thought it was OK but the 3D was shite. Final Destination was a great yardstick for 3D, if you're gonna do one use the fucking third dimension, make me duck out of the way of things and coo over the special effects otherwise all you've done is make a murky film for more money than it would have othe...
Re: Kill List
Just loved this one. There's something about Warp films that I really like, all the performances seem really natural and I enjoyed the build up to the kills probaly more that the kills themselves. And the mental ending just made me like it more, one of my favourites.
Re: Detention
I wasn't sure if I liked it or not but the sheer weight of ideas just kept me pinned to the seat. I'd walked out of the Vile and Chillerama so I'd be fresh for the next mornings films but something about Detention just kept me there till the end.
Re: The Woman
Yeah, that was my issue with it, just didn't believe the main guy and the son. Liked it though and the Woman was amazingjonbly wrote:8/10 - Best of the Ketchum adaptations to date. Struggling to believe in some of the characters as usual, though.
Top 5
I've been coming to Frightfest since the first year and doing the whole weekend for the last 8. I'm used to the fact that I'll hate a few cuz not all films will appeal to all people. However as far as I'm concerned this was an amazing year, I at least liked nearly every one, there wasn't any dross a...

I went to see The Keep on Tuesday too. It just looked like a very long music video to me, lots of light shining through smoke and endless slo mo shots; I think the film was probably about an hour long and they managed to drag it out by showing each frame individually. The music was really obtrusive ...
