Re: FrightFest ticketing 2015
I'm glad those of you who got tickets got them and I hope you have a great festival. I'm not going this year and judging by the panicked comments everywhere I'm happy I made that decision. Getting tickets is becoming more of an ordeal each year - I did the Sleepy Q all night for the first time in 11...

Re: FrightFest 2014
I'm working on a better system for discovery screen tickets. Thinking of some type of online system using smart phones and tablets. It would be along the lines of entering films you want to see in order of preference the day before. Tickets would then be allocated and would be waiting for collectio...

Re: Accommodation in Glasgow
When I've gone I've stayed in the Thistle hotel as it's literally just around the corner from the cinema, it's reasonably priced and (most important) the bar stays open til 3am!!

Re: Breaks
I always make sure I have a good breakfast which helps. If I don't get to eat a full meal (normally just a sandwich or the like), then it all helps towards what I call my "FrightFest" diet!

Re: Opening Night
I always think it's fun to dress up a bit posh for the first night. I won't have sequins like I did in Glasgow but I will have a nice frock and ridiculous shoes.

But it may fund something, like Bob, that a studio may be hesitant to back - the Coen Brothers do a similar thing. And also the twins are big WWE fans!

Re: Censorship
Great read with salient points made - Richard always hits the nail on the head. I've never understood why parents can't be arsed to monitor what their kids are actually doing on the internet. When my one was young we had the computer in the front room so we could keep a check of what she was looking...

Re: David Cameron's Censor Internetornado
This all worries me. I don't like the idea of the extreme stuff, particularly anything involving kids, but I don't believe simply cutting off access via Google or Yahoo! or any of the other mainstream servers is going to make things better. Only this weekend I was reading an article in the Independe...

In the olden days FrightFest was about horror and fantasy so I can see how Hammer of the Gods would fit in, plus my old man will enjoy this - he loves all that Viking stuff!
