The Most Assassinated Woman in the World
7/10 - OK, but disappointing that the payoff didn't actually deal with the main problem... you go to all that trouble and don't stop the killer?!

Incident in a Ghostland
8/10 - Grim. Terrible title. The twist was annoying at first but grew on me later.

Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich
6/10 - Let down by the ending - too much time in the hotel, then didn't use the house/museum again and suddenly we're done. The last kill seemed unnecessary. Making the entire story into issue #1 of an ongoing comic series would not be sensible.
Braid
5/10 - Tried to do something interesting, but ended up just too pretentious. Same problem as Shrooms - I don't really know how much of the movie actually happened.

The Cleaning Lady
8/10 - I mostly enjoyed this one, but it was let down a bit by Shelly's motivations - which were all over the place.
Also... you don't keep hydrofluoric acid in a metal container, and it's more lethal as a poison than as an acid. Odd choice.

Mega Time Squad
7/10 - Very funny at times, but the change of tack towards the end robs the film of life and pace in the last act. The 'surprise' doesn't really work at either end... what was it originally for? How was it supposed to fit in that bag? What if he'd checked the contents as soon as he picked it up?

Summer of 84
9/10 - Excellent. A surprisingly realistic movie coming off the back of 'Turbo Kid' - don't think this is more of the same, the limited gore here is is well-rendered and well-used. Good pacing and good performances.

The Ranger
7/10 - Pretty good, nicely paced, but showed its budget at times. Opening was trying a bit too hard. Good work from the lead. Another one for the 'traps don't do that' hall of fame, though...
Re: Emails
No, it's not GDPR - this is about emails that arrive, but that Gmail is convinced are phony. I assume it's because you're using Sendinblue rather than mailing us direct. I've tried adding the mac.com email address to my Contacts... and that does seem to resolve the image / link issue, though Gmail's...
Re: Emails
The one I was reacting to was about the updated guest list... but I don't think I've had a FF email this year. Have you tried adding that email to your contacts? That usually whitelists an address in Gmail. If Gmail thinks the address is being spoofed, though, that shouldn't work. I'll give it a go,...
Emails
Gmail is blocking emails from Frightfest. I can report it as spam, I can report it as phishing... but there's no button to reset it to 'trusted'... so no images and no links. The email is shown as being from 'frightfest@mac.com via sendinblue.com', and Gmail's comment is that 'Gmail could not verify...

Re: 2018 Lineup Announced
Was there a newsletter to announce the line-up? I don't seem to have received one even though I completed the recent GDPR email. Still, thanks to DJ Benz I can read the lengthy note and start plotting disco films! I've seen nothing, either. Luckily it turns out that my goldfish memory can hold exac...

Re: 2018 Lineup Announced
Used to happen a fair bit - though I don't recall it in the horror genre.
Thinking of the Columbus movies in 1992, or the Wyatt Earp movies in 1993/4...
At a glance, though, this one seems like a fluke.

Donnie Darko in 2002, then weekend passes from 2004 on.
