Evil Things

I thought this was really good. There wasn't very much originality in it, so it probably wouldn't be a popular choice for most, but I still liked it. It was the only film of the fetsival during which I actually felt properly scared.

I hope it does well.

Best Worst Movie

This was the highlight of the festival for me. I love Troll 2 and have wanted to see this for ages now. Great to have the opportunity to see it. It was absolutely wonderful so thanks for showing it. I hope all the people who watched it having never seen Troll 2 will now go and watch it. And hopefull...

Re: Best Deaths

...just realised how many of these are from PG-rated films. What are the worst/most shocking deaths you can recall from 'faimily-friendly' movies?... Not exactly a death, but the woman getting turned into a robot in Superman III is the probably the single scariest scene from any film I've seen in m...

Final Destination Lots of good deaths in these films but I think the one that stands out the most would be in the first film when that girl walks out on to the road and gets smashed into by the bus. It's become a bit of a cliche now, but that was the first time I had seen it done and I jumped about...

I absolutely love Zone Horror. They probably don't show much A list stuff because they probably can't afford it. But I think that's a good thing. I've seen so many films on that channel that I would never have seen otherwise, or would have had to have paid to rent or buy. And I'm actually surprised ...

we could easily go Terminator T2 and Salvation and gently try and forget jonathan mostows poor sequel which really didnt add anything I don't mean to be picky, but we couldn't really. Remember at the end of T2 they stopped the war? It was only in T3 that they explained how the war was still going t...

With regards to the £1.50 extra for 3d films. Some cineworlds, like Enfield and Wood Green, you give your ticket to one guy who stands at a main entrance which leads to all the screens. So you could actually get a ticket to one film and just go into a different screen. So if you have an old pair of ...

I've just been reading about the upcoming Saw game on arrow in the head. It's set between Saw and Saw 2 and you control Detective Tapp (Danny Glover in the first film). Wicked!!! You're locked in an insane asylum and have to work through loads of traps and (best of all) fight off Jigsaw's minions. A...

I think it's a bit unfair to be so hard on people who don't want to watch a subtitled film. We're all movie "buffs" on here so want to see as many good films as we can. Whereas someone who doesn't watch as many films is more likely to choose something not subtitled which, while it's a shame that the...

Watched a really funny film over the weekend from Zone Horror called Trees:The Movie . It's a remake of Jaws, only with a killer tree in the woods instead of a killer shark in the sea. We have a mayor who wants the camp ground kept open and we have Ranger Cody instead of Chief Brody. Apart from a fe...

Crikey, what a brilliant episode of Prison Break. SPOILERS Sort of felt like the end of the first "act" and the start of the second. The bit after they gave Sylla to the annoying Agent Self, it felt like the scene at the end of a horror film where everyone thinks the monster is dead, but we as an au...

Saw How to Lose Friends and Alienate People. Expecting to this to be a load of tripe. Was unexpectedly surprised how good it was. Very amusing, at times cringing. The main character could of been a complete a twonk. It's Simon Pegg! He is a lovable rogue! Me and Doris saw this a few weeks ago.. I f...

I would like to know if the director bases this on how we are as a society, here and now, or how he thinks we might descend into in the near future. I do remember him saying he hadn't intended it as any kind of social commentary. He just wanted to make a good scary film. And he succeeded, I think t...

The Doctor is never referred to as a Time Lord in the early episodes and the Time Lords themselves aren't named. He just refers to him and his grand daughter being outcasts from their home and people. There's another Time Lord in the story The Time Meddler, but I've not seen it yet so I don't know i...
