Re: How did you find the line-up overall..?

For me, I think there were too many grim films. I'd have liked more of the ilk of Damned By Dawn because it came as a relief. Not everything has to be a harsh and unflinching study of brutality and death. Another meaty and unpretentious splattery slasher movie of the Hatchet ilk or two. I agree wit...

Re: Goodie bag

It's a lovely looking bag, will come in very handy for work, but contained very little to get excited about. Bloody 'catacombs' on DVD, total film and some chocs and drink.

But I have always considered this an added bonus and we should all be grateful the boys bother at all!

Re: A Serbian Film - PULLED from line-up

I have this evening watched 'A Serbian Film', and I really can understand why this has drawn all this attention. I am glad to have watched it, but can honestly say it's not a film I will ever watch again. There were 2 scenes that truly made me feel physically sick, images that are now forever imprin...

Re: Where are you sitting?

Puppy, how are you going to pounce on/stalk celebs from the middle of the row? Should a warning be sent out to those on the ends?

Re: Where are you sitting?

Myself and Mrs SLH are in F35 and F36, a nice aisle seat with the minimum of big heads able to get in the way.

Just got an advance copy of Mark Kermode's "It's only a movie!", will see if he has anything intelligent/relevant to say. It's kind of a biographical journey through the important movies in his life.

Just read "The Devil's Footsteps" by E.E.Richardson. Technically it's a kid's book but is genuinely creepy. All about some haunted woods and the 13 stepping stones in them. Would make an excellent movie...Goonies style. Now reading Jasper Fforde, The Eyre Affair, very humorous read with lots of lite...

Just back from Zombieland, and I enjoyed the ride very much. Despite my local cineworld losing the sound towards the end of the film, and then switching the lights on before the credits were even rolling. complaint in the e-post.

...and on and on. I watched it on a plane and fell asleep half way through...they were still fighting when I landed.

I enjoyed Pandorum, it's this years marmite movie.

If I hadn't seen The Eye with Jessica Alba at the special preview comp through FF, I would never have watched it. Enjoyed the original though.

Congrats to everyone who got themselves a ticket, really jealous I won't be there with you all. I want to see Paranormal Activity so badly, I did have a chance to see it in L.A but it was only on at midnight downtown with a hour long taxi ride afterwards :( although I am contemplating a trip to Bris...
